I just bought a nice QBert from Jordan here on KLOV. It worked nice at his place but when I fired it up at home I get the game playing blindly with no picture. I noticed there is a constant ticking with no neck glow. I checked the fuse on the chasis and it was fine. The monitor is a brand new orion A48JLLYOX46 19". I read up on others having a similar issue. Could the issue be a bad flyback?

That's the tube number, not the model of the monitor. Got a pic of the back of the monitor showing the chassis?

Show us a pic. Hopefully you didn't match a K4951 with new tube and yoke. The chassis needs to match a K4900 yoke, and there are a couple different kinds.

If everything matches okay, I'd start by rebuilding the chassis...

I just noticed that on the flyback, the bottom adjustment knob does not move in either direction? It is as though it has been glued into position.

That's because they usually ARE glued in placed from the factory.
That's the SCREEN voltage.
No harm to pop the glue off so you can adjust it.

Probably want to pull the chassis and go over it real good for bad solder joints since it seems to have failed after moving it.

The monitor is brand new and that is what reads on the chassis. Unless the chassis frame was used from an old WG. I will submit pics later tonight. Thanks all!

Pics uploaded. What do you think?

You have a brand new Wells-Gardner 19K4951? That would be a good trick.

Could be one of those so-called "monitor kits" that pentusa.com / visual-display.net has been selling. You slap their tube & chassis on your existing frame. These use a Pentranic brand circuit board.
