Original Stand up Pacman Restoration (for an awesome guy)
After a month or so I finally got this thing done, after all the troubles and hassles from the guy from eBay, budget troubles, and getting bondo all over my hands, it's all done, and looking pretty good in my opinion. I managed to keep the cabinet almost 100% original which was my motive from the start. I wanted to keep the original beauty that is Pac-Man. The only thing I would of loved to do is stencil the sides, get a new bezel for the monitor, and a new tube, but I had to work within my limits and time. It saddens me a little that I don't get to keep it, especially since I've been looking for one for a good price forever, but It was intended for my dad's 50th birthday and I'm proud to have restored it for him, since he's the one who got me gaming/arcade scene in the first place and he had no clue what we were getting him after saying, "Don't get me anything, I don't need anything." but he ended up loving it and so did everyone else at the party.

There was so much work that has gone into this baby, more than any of my other machines. So many little hiccups I had not expected, like the side being bowed out, cracked wood, awful dried up T-molding, rusted on grommet, failing monitor, poor touch up paint from prior owner(s). Every piece of metal on the machine had to be repainted due to rust, the monitor was recapped, new t-molding, paint galore, blue overspray, a couple new parts like corner protectors and a modified ms.pacman kick plate, new credit light mod, replacement back door, new 60 in 1 board since it didn't even come with a board in the first place, new locks, got the awesome marquee with it that I know isn't really the 60 in 1, but I think it fits the overall theme. Everything that I could I left original, the joystick, control panel, coin door, monitor glass/bezel just was touched up in a couple areas, side art wasn't repainted at all, but was cleaned up with a magic eraser, and the paint around it was touched up and oversprayed. Man... I just really got to find one of these for myself.
