So Q*Bert sold new for $2,600 when it was released in '83:

What are some other prices for "the mintest of mint condition" straight-out-of-the-factory games?

Interested in Donkey Kong in particular. For some reason the number "$4,000" is coming to me.

Has an "index" of such a thing been attempted?

Apologies in advance, since I can't imagine threads on this theme not having existed many, many times over (KLOV noob here).

The first machine to break the $4K mark was Dragon's Lair. I believe Pacman and even DK were more in the $1800-$2400 range depending on quantity discounts.

I don't have any proof but I have heard that most early 80's games where 2 to 3k when they came out.

The first game I bought NIB was a Gauntlet. I paid $2895.
My MKII cost me $4295
I bought a Blasteroids on closeout....$1345
Neo Geo 4 slots were $2995.
There were many other NIB games I bought back when I operated but I'd have to look them up.

Pinball machines were running between $2795 for Funhouse up to $3495 for my Medieval Madness. MM was the last NIB Williams pin I bought.

A 2P Virtual On was 8000... probably why not many ops here in the States went for them...

Wow, Pole Position sold for $800 more than Gravitar. They really charged a premium for PP, huh? Almost $3k!

EDIT: Crap!! They only made 600 Dragon Spirit games?!? I feel foolish for selling mine! :)
