Hi everyone!

I just got an original pacman, it decent condition. However, there are some things about it I just wanted to verify. I suspect that this machine has had some restoration work, but am not sure.
First, where the plastic handles on the top back would be, there is wire mesh covering the holes as well as down below. No plastic inserts. Did any of the original machines have this, or were they removed?
Did pacman machines have coin door lights? This one does not seem to have any, but no original machine I have seen seems to have them. If so, is there a part # for the socket to get a replacement?
The T-molding is just starting to turn yellow along the edges by the wood. I suspect this will give me a clue as too how long ago this suspected restoration took place. Any thoughts?
Last question- No blue speckles in the paint. Was it repainted, or did any original cabs lack this?

The original pcb was removed, so no serial #. The original wiring/power section is still there, (as well as additional jamma wiring, not done by me with a new pcb.) so tracking down some of the answers by serial # will be difficult I think.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hello and welcome to the forums. The original pac cabinets only had wire mesh covering the holes in the back, the mesh was stapled to the wood. If I was home I would take a picture for you.

The original T-molding should be orange, if it is turning yellow it may never have been replaced, or it was in the sun quite a bit.

Someone else should be able to help you with the blue speckles as the four cabinets that I have all have blue speckles on them.

i just got a pacman cab, it has blue speckles on the yellow paintwork

i didnt notice if it had the plastic handles in the top vent/hand holes but my mspacman does.

Early build machines didnt have the speckle paint. One of mine doesnt have it. Check your serial number and you will probably find a number less than 10k.
Pacman did not have the plastic handholds or coin door lights. Mspac is when they started that.
