Original Mortal Kombat conversion to vertical monitor

I have an original MK 1 cab with a WG 70xx 25" monitor.. It's originally mouted for horizontal games. I want to change it to vertical. Has anyone here done this before ? Is it possible to just take out the monitor and rotate it for vertical and bolt it back in or is there something I'm missing ?

Thanks

It should just pull out and turn vertical without any issues even though it dosent look like it will...

I had a similar dilemma with a Centipede cabinet. They had made a few cuts, but I was still able to rotate the bracket.

Exactly my thought, it doesn't look like it will lol it's extremely heavy too be taking out and rotating.. I'm unclear on what direction to rotate though??

Hook the board up to it so you can see what way to turn it...

each of the 4 metal blocks (the brackets) are able to be rotated. I can't imagine how you would leave the brackets alone and just mount a monitor in vertically, the holes wouldn't line up because you're mounting it the skinny way instead of the fat way.

I would strongly encourage you have help when mounting the monitor, preferably have someone in the back underneath to help you guide the mounting holes onto the bracket bolts. but do rotate the 4 brackets first, they're just held in with carriage bolts.

Would i have to drill new holes when I rotate the bracket ? or will they line up ?

you have those wierd steel monitor mounts bolted to the sides of the cabinet ?
might have to move those around to get it to fit.

exactly.. MK machines have block style brackets you can unbolt and rotate or swap around.
