Not according to the manuals. Galaga gets 5volt on two different lines than where it goes in on the Gaplus pcb. Have you looked at the manuals, Matt?

All I know is that I made an adaptor and I play both boards with it.

And I've heard of people playing Gaplus in a Galaga cab (sans the up/down, which sucks).
 
All I see are redundant power lines, which should not be connected to anything on a Galaga harness (just double check your harness to verify that). If you could fry a Gaplus board by plugging it into a Galaga I'm pretty sure we'd have heard about it by now. :D

Old thread, but is this still available? Looking for one for a cocktail.

I just picked up the large Bally/Midway version, on steel plate that I'd sell. Untested, but I'm sure I can find someone with a Galaga around me to test. It was the usual "it worked at the time the monitor on the game went out", so I'm hopeful that it's working.
