Picked this machine up in NJ off of ebay. Had Ms Pac control panel, glass, and marquee. The original side art had 2 layers of paint on it, but with a little heat it all pealed off good. Got paint off the original tag too. The monitor has a broken neck on it. Think I am going to paint it blue and install the Ms Pac graphics since I have the glass for it. Just need to get a new marquee and CPO from Phoenix arcade.

Had a change of heart with this machine, going to restore it to original Galaxian state. I replaced the bottom of the cabinet that was water damaged. Got a couple of original galaxian boards, one known working. Picked up a control panel off of ebay that i will be stripping down and rebuilding. Ordering the side art from This Old Game. I only have to source out a couple more things, the marquee and the monitor bezel. I have the unit basically ready for primer, just need some warmer weather for paint. Need to pick up a wiring harness from Bob Roberts as well. I'll post pics of the cabinet so far when I get to home computer. Looking forward to a mint Galaxian.

That should turn out a lot better than a Ms. Pac would have anyway because they aren't the same cabinet. Good choice.

I'm fairly certain a proper reproduction of the marquee was done, but years ago.

That's a game I no longer own, but miss. It's simple, but fun and the cabinet artwork and marquee are awesome.

I love the artwork as well, like the fact that This Old Game recreated it.

Here are pictures of the cabinet during the replacement of the bottom of the cabinet. Bondo has already been applied, so the cabinet is now ready for primer once the temp gets nicer outside. Its only 5 deg F outside right now.

It's been really brutal here in MI as well. Definitely not the weather for painting a cab. Good luck with the project. :)

Thanks for the encouragement. Garage is heated, but I do not want to get paint on the vette or the truck. I have all of the games in the basement for the winter. Like many of us on here, I have way too many projects to do. But I love it all!.

lookin good, what kinda vette you have hidden in there?

i could use a ms pac glass bezel if your not going to use that one

I suggest that when you order the graphics that you request that it be shipped in a heavy duty shipping tube.

Mine was shipped in a rectangular box that was about 5x5x36 inches and was smashed to shit when I received it. The graphics had multiple dents and creases in it because the long box had been bent and crushed in several places.

Its a 1969 Corvette, all original except for paint. 390hp 427, 4 speed. Here is a picture without the cover.

As for the bezel, I'll have to get you some pictures of it. I believe it is in good condition.

So you aren't rolling the paint on, what are you using? HVLP? Spray Cans?

I plan on using the hvlp gun here at work. I don't want to get the machine out in the elements right now, too much salt and crap on the road. I plan on getting it primed, block sanding it smooth, then shooting the white and black. The graphics will come after that. Was somewhat close to you a couple weeks ago, did some work at Covidien in Hobart.

Hobart! I used to work at a ski resort in Stamford (next town over) when I was in College. There is nobody in Hobart.

Little Update

Got a present from the UPS man yesterday, just got to open it up today. All new side art and front art for the cabinet. Also got a new CPO and T-shirt. Picked up a very nice original control panel off of ebay. Looking forward to getting the cabinet primed and painted.
