Hi everyone.

As much as the arcade-museum site is great for finding out info, one thing that would be of use to me and possibly others would be an 'original cost'

I dont know if there is a list somewhere but id like to know what these things cost originally.

Cheers

Alex

Some people have scanned in ad listings from old trade magazines. I have a bunch of these magazines I should do the same with as well. It is interesting to see the prices from BITD.

If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you'll find some similar threads that already have some links to game prices.

Any particular titles?
I recall pacman being $1800 new, for instance.

I'm only concerned about what they're worth now. :D

I'm not concerned at all what they are worth now, I'm in it for the hobby and nostalgia.

I would like to see scanned price list on these. Would be fun to see what the operators were given as a retail price.

Yeh totally, the cost can vary considerably these days simply because its a hobby as Tronic says, cabs are in a plethora of different conditions, most are sold on ebay and it depends whos looking and bidding when the auction is on and also what someone is willing to pay for something.

I know myself that id be willing to pay up to 1k for a good condition cab that i want. But its what i want and what is considered 'valuable' to me and might only be worth a quarter to someone else who doesn't have that nostalgia for that machine.

however knowing what the set RRP list price was when it was brand new is always worth knowing and a great addition to add to the collection with the cabs manual. in my opinion that would make the cab complete.

for me it was a number of midway games. the Killer Instinct series and Mortal Kombat series.
