As I was going through my arcade tonight...Has anyone ever noticed with an original Phoenix cab the side art actually has the feather art with real feather like texture built into the side art???

Yes. I couldn't get a picture to get it all. But all feathers have the texture.

I bought repo art and now I don't wan to put it on. lol

Are we not just seeing the black ink as it was applied on top of the other colors, so it's just a bit "taller" than the rest of the colors? Seems like I've seen that exact same thing on a lot of screened art with finer detail in the black color.

Right, it could be the build up of colors at the overlap points / bleed.

+1, it's part of the printing process.

I'm guessing the repro is ink jet or something.

Yep. I guess I am restoring the wood grain now. I was going to do black laminate and put the new side art but not now.

The side art is in good shape anyway..parts of the lower cab need rebuilding.

Yes, this is just an artifact of the silkscreening process. All silkscreened art is like this.
