Original Atari Pong in California - $250 - not mine

I've been haggling with this guy for a while on the game and I can't get him below $250. Which is $100 over my limit. So.....if anyone wants this thing go grab it. He's a nice guy. Game doesn't work and is missing the rear door. I've heard that it's the incorrect monitor but I've also heard that several monitor types were used in this game so who knows. I think a lot of folks never followed up because it's listed at $850 but I can confirm that he will let you pick it up today at $250. Possibly less if you show up with cash. I was going to yesterday while I was down there but I'm really really trying not to buy anything right now. Although a Pong is tempting!

Kind of surprised nobody seems interested in this at the price. I guess the economy really is in the dump.

Wow, that's awesome. If I were closer I would pay the $250 for it. I don't know much about Pong cabs, did they use actual TV's in them? You can see the antenna in the one pic. I would guess that someone swapped in the TV to replace a defective monitor. Have you seen the cab in person, Jehuie? It looks to be in nice shape, although the pictures are not the greatest.

I think $250 is a steal for that. No, it wouldn't be fun, but it would be a fun project and a hell of a conversation piece in a gameroom. If I was looking for one, I'd assume I'd have to pay much more.

That's a $1200 game with a little repair work. That also looks like the correct TV set, which they used as a monitor. I have a Pong Doubles with the same one in it.

Nope, I haven't looked at it in person. He did say it's a little rough....whatever that means. He said there's no water damage but that the bottom corners are a little dinged up. I think it actually came with a few different monitors and at first I thought that one was wrong but, apparently, it's not.

I was right there close to him and was going to take a look. But I didn't have my truck and my family was with me and we are in such a tight spot right now that I couldn't justify it. So I thought I'd pass it on to you guys.....someone should grab it. He said a guy offered him $200 plus some beer signs and he was thinking about taking it.....so you should probably hurry.

Seriously, you didn't buy it at $250???

I've sold 3 Pongs in the past 1/2 years....all for $1200-$1400.

Dude, grab it!

The game has been sold. It went for $300 actually. I was going to pick it up for someone else but there was someone on the way over already. So we missed it. Oh well.
