I just finished ordering my long-awaited Firepower repro playfield from CPR. I am very excited to get it and start the rebuild process for one of my Firepowers. I ordered it without clearcoat so it can be thoroughly checked for any flaws or insert issues then be clearcoated by HSAPinball.

I was fortunate to meet Steve Ritchie and he was gracious enough to sign my Firepower topper (and also my BK2K topper) that comes with the CPR plastics set. I ordered a plastics set when they were first released and I am also ordering a spare at a reduced price with my playfield.

I will have a repro cabinet built and have a stencil set to paint it.

This will be a very involved build and upgrade for me and probably my only one. I have a special attachment to firepower and have always wanted a prisitine version with upgraded flippers and an immaculate clear-coated playfield. I will also add some other elements as well. One that I am considering is powdercoating all or some of the metal items such as the side rails, legs, coin door, and lock-bar red. I saw that done on a No-Fear and it really gave the pin some added pop.

The fun begins....

Cool! Can't wait to see pics. Make sure you post some when you get it. So many FP's have trashed playfields that I've seen, so will be awesome to see some of these look great again. :)

I am very much on the fence about getting one myself. I got one for my Black Knight and it was sooooo beautiful. But in this case, Firepower isn't actually mine. It's actually my Mom's machine, I just maintain it.

I can't wait to see them installed and running though, and if anybody doesn't like the starburst inserts and cutouts for drop target retrofits..... you can blame me :) I pushed the ideas with CPR for a while, and they eventually ran a poll on RGP and the starburst inserts won out.

I voted for starburst as well. I am not trying to duplicate the original but keep the game's look with enhancements. I want it to be as good looking as possible and work like brand new with a few improvements like the flippers that take advantage of technology that was unavailable at the time the game was manufactured. And a playfield that will not wear out. This will be a loooong project so stay tuned.

Please take lots of pics during the process.

Firepower is on my hit list, I'd love to own one someday!

Received my shipping notification. My PF arrives Thursday, Feb 2nd.

I'm throughly interested in the process you follow to do a playfield
swap. Please take lots of pics. I put my name on the list for a pinbot
playfield.. my first repro one. I expect it to be a real challenge. I cant
fathom how to keep track of what wires go where.

Firepower

I have been just digging mine, my 11yr old and myself just can't play enough of this machine. It def gets the most plays of all our games and pins.

The sounds and the quick pin play are just great on this game, not an easy one to go multi ball on either. Great game

PICTURES!!! I am considering getting a CPR playfield for my silverball mania and haven't because of the work involved. I would love to see it done.

I used colored leds, it helped with disguising cracks in backglass. Mines not in bad bad shape but it did help and looks good.

I bought a used one in good shape but it still has cracks.

Its the only pin in my collection without a near mint backglass.

Try Mayfair Amusement.

Got my FirePower about 6 months ago, and it had a Mayfair backglass with it. Seller actually didn't tell me that until after I had paid and we were scheduling the shipping. Nice bonus!
Machine also came with a stencil kit, extra bonus!

Got my new playfield yesterday, WOW, flawless clear coat, beautiful. Also been on the pre-order list for the Silverball Mania for about a year, one reason the previous owner sold the machine was that he was tired of waiting for the repro. The day after I got the machine, CPR released the backglass, which I grabbed quickly.

Soon will have two of my favorite machines fully restored.....
