Who here has the Braze Technologies Space Invaders save kit? It seems pretty reasonable for the $59.00 price tag. It says it also comes with a number of games, as well as saving the high scores. Are any of these games any good. They mostly look like Space Invader clones or variations.

I'll have to double check if I have an L-shaped Midway board set. I have an original Space Invaders cabinet, but it was running Space Invaders Part 2 when I purchased it.

Speaking of Space Invaders Part 2. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the difficulty? I've found all the dip switch settings but haven't been able to find anything that adjusts the difficulty. I know the game was made to be difficult, but I can barely get past the 3rd wave as the Invaders start so low beginning on the 3rd stage.

I have the Braze kit for my Deluxe and I really like it. It has seven other games but they are all with Space Invader sounds. I recommend it since Space Invaders does get boring after a while. As far as the difficulty controls, I have Space Invaders Deluxe and the difficulty cannot be adjusted.

Yes that kit adds some good diagnostics that the original machine never had.

Okay, so I have one working board set (that works fine with the Braze kit), and I thought I'd toss the Braze kit in my other non-working board set to see if it helps me fix it. Basically, it reports everything as OK, except BIT, which is reported as FAIL.

After that, the game menu boots up, but the graphics are all messed up on the games.

What is the BIT? What components should I replace on the PCB to fix this?

I think the kit is well worth it. but like other multi kits, I 'really' wish you could set it to boot into an initial game instead of a menu. With 5 or 6 multi's installed I hate going to each game and selecting something evey time to avoid screen burn.

I believe there is an option to have it boot to any game you wish. I have mine come up as deluxe every time it is turned on.

I'll have to check on it this weekend.. was just playing a game last weekend and that thought of a default game popped into my head but I didn't look.

I think either the 74153s depending on the type of sound card and/or look at your interconnect.
