Opinions: South Park

Well... I'll let you guys know just how badly it sucks because I've agreed to buy it :)

I most likely wouldn't have bought it if I didn't think I could get my money back out of it semi-easily. I like the theme and I have enough pins that a game that stands on theme alone and is only interesting to n00bs can blend into the wall paper. That said, I don't have unlimited space so it probably doesn't have a permanent place in my collection.

don't believe the haters, it's not that bad. ;)

I owned one for a few months, I liked the game play. The only thing I didn't like was: it's just so damn ugly! It was in my loft and compared to my GNR and my CV, well it just didn't compare artwork wise!

I trade it with some cash for my CV. I still may pick one up some day, I have a 8 year old box full of NOS parts! Someday I will buy machine to use them on.

I have one and like it. It's not deep, I'll admit, but I'm a fan of the show so that helps.

It gets old pretty quick though. I've had it for around 3 months and am thinking of moving it off to get another newer Stern (the rest of my collection is early 80s SS's).

I just watched some youtube vids of South Park...and man - the music is ANNOYING as fuck. I guess I never quite noticed it in an arcade setting...but at home that would make me smash that game. Too bad, really...South Park deserves a "Simpsons Pinball Party" revisitation...w/ 13 or 14 seasons worth of material and the new SAM system w/ higher quality sound, that could be a great game.

It probably could be, but with stern's new philosophy, you'd have to wait til the ultra premium edition came out.

I played one in great shape and found it too easy. The ramp and holes are so wide you don't even have to aim to make the shot. And I wouldn't consider myself a great player. It's funny for a bit but the quotes get old after a few dozen times. And I am a big fan of the show. If you have limited space like I do I would pass unless you got a good deal on it. Then when you bored you could resell it.

It's not a well known fact that SP was made for the likes of Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder so even the blind could enjoy playing pinball ;)
