Hey All,
I just recently got a free 19" HS-1 cab. It was a dedicated Street Fighter until very recently and still has a G07 in it. I have the SF board. But the cab is missing the jamma harness, and marquee. And I love my Dynamo HS cabs. So here's what my options are.
1. Turn it back into a SF cab.
2. Turn it into some other SF game like SFII or Darkstalkers as I have about 3 different boards for and maybe lend it to my cousin.
3. Try to turn it into something different, like a vert shoot'em up, or a Rotary Joystick cab for games like Ikari warriors, and devastators.
4. Turn it into a multi game to sell.
5. Scrap the cab for the monitor and put it to rest as I don't really have the room.

So guys, any suggestions. I can probably put it in a barn for storage until I get more room. But I already have 2 25" HS-5s there now. I'm just running out of room, but I hate to kill a good cab. Especially a dynamo. So what suggestions do you have for what you would do with a free cab. I have the parts to turn it into something, but it really needs a new control panel as the SF 6 button one has seen better days. So lets hear those suggestions.

Redo it into a Capcom multi or CPS cab. Just refurb the control panel with the Capcom diamondplate CPO. I redid my HS-5 and it looks awesome now.

I like Ikari Warriors and wouldn't mind having one. I would say go with that. There's not many rotary joystick games left in the world. :(

Get the remaining artwork or whatever artwork you would like and put a Blue Elf 2 Multigame Board ($150 shipped from Nixs) in it. That's what I plan to do with my dedicated SFII:WW (19" HS-1). I have all the artwork, just need to restore the cab and save up enough to get the Blue Elf 2. I got to test out the Blue Elf 2 and it is awesome. Prairied1ll0 makes a custom JAMMA adapter for it as well so you don't have to modify your JAMMA CP harness to play all the games. Just plug and play.

Many thanks for the suggestions. I like the idea of a multi CPS-1 cab. And it would probably work well for it. But 200 bucks from jammaboards.com is a bit steep. I would hate to put that much in it, but it would be nice. The thing I mentioned about it needing a new CP is that the old one is just about shot. where the hooks latch onto the CP, the metal is just about ripped off. So bad, that it had brackets mounted inside the cab to to hold it down. It really needs a new one and I know where a rotary dynamo CP is. But I could just as easily find another 19" 6 button CP. Still kicking ideas around. But I may just fix it up enough to lend to my cousin. Still have to install a board, new jamma harness and marquee in it. I was surprised that no one suggested put it back as SF1. I guess SF really is as bad as I figured it was.

Yes, it is a terrible game. The graphics and sounds bring back memories, but the game play is one of the worst I have ever experienced. The controls are just terrible. Though, it was innovative and set the stage for SFII and the fighter craze that followed.
