Hey Matt,
I think I'm going DKjr orange (like Jess did) but with black T-Molding
I went round and round and kept coming back to Orange...

I was going to say - the DK orange seems to work fine with it. Stencil the Goonies skull on it.

Thought you ruled orange out? It's not bad. I understand the need to stand out, if you went on a solo mission.
I have Black T molding on my Orange cab and it looks good.
You should do it like this if you want to be a true badass about it.

Nah, never ruled out but I didn't want to just settle...I figured if I was going to go through all the trouble of sanding down and repainting for a "dedicated" game I would at least explore my options.
I had a few ideas that I though would look good but after I photoshopped the mock ups there were...ehh...
Can't beat a classic I suppose.
But that Chunk sideart ViceMikey came up with just might do the trick!

FWIW, I see that color yellow... I instantly think "Pac-Man". The purple is nice, but it doesn't match the shades of the other Nintendo cabinets... a few shades lighter and it'd look really good IMO.
FWIW, I make NES Repro carts... so, if you want the original Goonies on a US NES cart... no problem.
Maybe I could start working on moving the VS Goonies to a cart... already got VS SMB working on an NES.
*** BTW, I abandoned this project when someone finally got it running 100% using a custom Mapper/PCB... so, probably wouldn't hold my breath for that VS Goonies from me anytime soon.

lol You're serious? That would be the most badass Vs. Goonies in existance. Give me your email and I'll make you a vector. You could just have a vinyl made. That is, if you're up to the challenge of the most hardcore Vs. Goonies EVER.

Personally I thought purple sounded good in my head as well, but I did fear it would be too bold - and it is. The yellow/gold REALLY pops in my eyes. Would never have even thought of it, but I would go with yellow (had you not already opted orange). It matches the marquee background well and even bits of the Unisystem sideart. Excellent ch'i.
I'm have a VS Goonies kit myself awaiting a cab, and after reading this thread I feel pretty special - because my cased kit has the marquee, topper, and authorization sticker (#163), only missing the tent sheet.

I too thought the yellow was a nice touch. Had a mustard appeal to it. Something a little different, that I felt blended with the colors nicely.

Ugh, now you're makin' me rethink my choice...
I just did the first coat of Orange today though. Waitin' for it to dry.
I liked the yellow too but I guess it didn't look different enough from the Orange to do it.
The Yellow actually came from a hi-Rez scan of the marquee.
At the very least I can turn this into something else if I ever decide to sell it.

Looking forward to seeing the end results Eric.
You should have a file in your email in a couple minutes here.
Just a sample - darker colors I'd do a 1 color vinyl, lighter I'd stack a black and a grey.
