OPINIONS NEEDED: Custom Capcom Marquee

Looks good, Friz. I think looking at the Marquee, Bezel and CPO as a whole helps keep thing from getting too cluttered or repeating the same visual elements. Good call on keeping the bezel simple, and carrying the diamond plate theme throughout.

My Capcom art order from MAMEMARQUEES.COM arrived. It looks pretty spiffy. I still need to receive and apply the CPO as well as decide if I am going to use decals for the button area and joystick area.

I'm cheating in this picture too. The marquee is just sitting in there, I need to cut two pieces of plexi to sandwich it between...

BTW - Anyone know what NUVAXX is? I've googled it and came up with jack squat. Is that a Dynamo brand name or did someone stick that on there? The closes I can come up with is a local band...so it COULD be a sticker from them?

Artwork looks good, Frizz. I'm too lazy to read this whole thread, so I will ask. Are you keeping this, or selling it?

This is one of the keepers of the bunch. I didn't have a JAMMA cab with easy access to the boards, etc and this serves that purpose plus the 18-in-1 CPSII board in it is pretty cool. It would have been even better if it saved high scores and had Mars Matrix in it, but I guess I can't have everything, eh?

The CP will be completely redone. NOS Diamondplate CPO, possible labels, new comp. buttons (red/white/blue on one side and green/purple/orange on the other), and IL sticks (blue on left, orange on right...or was that green?).

I'll probably do the t-molding in blue to match the artwork as well... plus likely a new paint job eventually.

it looks great, one thing I hate about mine, it doesnt have t molding :( its just pained. no grooves. same cab though, cut corner 25" weird..

Really like the marquee though

Marquee and bezel look great and once you put the diamond plate CPO on it, it should really finish the cab off nicely. I think using directional and button decals would be the way to go. I would have gone with black or blue joysticks with blue punch buttons and red or white kick buttons.

At least button and joystick aren't permanent! lol I think all the different color buttons is a little too busy for a CP.

Will you be making any custom sideart? I'd like to see that! I think it would be pretty friggin sweet.

Looks great! At first I only looked at the pic and thought "ooo, looks awful with that cpo" and then I read you're replacing the cpo. I'm sure when it's all done it will look awesome.

Just About Completed...

Whelp... here she ALMOST complete. I still have some blue T-Molding to install... I also am not to keen with the button/stick color scheme as it stands...I am also on the fence in regards to the joystick button labels that i pulled from the SFII CPO...

...overall I am pleased with how the art came out.

That is looking pretty sweet, but I do agree on the button/joystick color scheme. It is 4th of July vs. Halloween.

Frizz, I love this. I can recreate this for you pretty quickly if you'd like.

not a fan of the diamond plate or the tacked on Indiana Jones logo.

I agree completely.

That Chun-Li marquee is pretty awesome and the Indy font just looks wrong to me.

I like this one ... a lot ... but the creator hasn't replied to my email asking if I could get the art files to use it.
Why not just recreate it then? Seems feasible. It may not be exact, but it'll look awesome.

** EDIT - Oops, looked like I jumped in on an earlier post. Heh, heh. The artwork you have looks great, but I agree on the button colors - both sets should be red, white and blue **
