OK.... here is my latest marquee which I think i am happy with... as well as a bezel I just built that I am not too sure about yet.

Maybe bounce mega man and replace with GNG character or strider, commando...i dont remember mega man being in arcades

I think they both look good. I would do anthology as beveled transparent letters without the border.

I think the Capcom at the bottom should be centered vertically in the space available and maybe be a bit larger

I'd make the bezel simpler I believe. The marquee looks pretty good, but maybe do some more work on making the text more 3 dimensional or something. It looks good the way it is, though as well.

looks pretty good, I find anthologies looks a little too pink being transparent and all.

I honestly would prolly just have "capcom" on the bezel and instructions on how to use the multi game. I think i would skip the diamond plate on the bezel as it might be a bit too much. what colour are you going to do the sides of the cab?

Can I ask why there always has to be a textured background or some type of patterned background? Have you tried keeping it simple with a white back ground or a solid colored background, (particularly the bezel)? That bezel looks like ass with diamond plating background.

Why don't you just MAME a craftsman tool chest?

I do think you need to keep simple and uncluttered.

He is trying to match his CPO instead of redoing it too. ;)

Diamondplate is for the CPO, not the marquee. I'd definitely go with the game characters on the marquee like the marquees for the individual games had.

Does the 19 in 1 have Marvel Vs. Capcom II?

...and Marvel vs Capcom is one of the 19 games of the CPS2 19-in-1.... but perhaps Megaman doesn't fit...

Dude, Ryu is still blocking the 'Y'. :)

That just bugs me. :)

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I think it looks really great other than just the little 'Y' thing. The fact that you are making it yourself is really cool.

I think it looks great. Sure, minor things can be altered like the characters, and capcom logo orientation. But the diamond plate looks fine to me. Especially if it all blends well. That's part of the fun of doing this kind of stuff is finding a new way to make the arts that noone else has done yet. Would it be too much if there was chrome t-molding put on? Perhaps. Would it be too much if the sideart were created with the same diamond plate background? Quite possibly. But have fun with this stuff.

I am going with the diamond plate as that screams "Capcom" to me. As for taking the theme up from the CP to the bezel to the marquee... it's quite common in Capcom titles. SFII: WW, SFII: CE, SFII: Hyper all had CP, bezel and marquees that "flowed" in to each other with similar backgrounds etc...

I did a slight revision to the marquee here...(and no, covering the Y doesn't bother me... :) )... and the bezel is getting closer...

That bezel is definitely not as "busy". Not so busy can be better. So many variations. :)

When I look at the creases on Ryu's shoulder below the 'Y', I can see the continuance of the 'Y' so that is less bothersome. Our visual processing can do that kind of stuff to ya' - we see what we want/expect.

Frizz, it still looks cool any way it gets done....but I still like your earlier version. I mean, the blue central ribbon is cool too, but I liked the way you incorporated some other capcom characters in as well. I mean it is Capcom Anthology not Street Fighter Anthology....right?

Well, I do appreciate the comments... everyone. Good and bad.

I use them to help formulate my next move.

I think I am pretty happy with what I have thus far...

I had to move the characters at the bottom up because the bottom inch and a half of the bezel is covered by the CP. The top 3/4 inch is also covered. I now have it set up so the characters bottoms are about 1/8" under where the CP hits the bezel and the top hits just a hair above where the blue lines top ends.

My only recommendation would be to take out the little 'CAPCOM' logos (complete and partial) that are at an angle in the diamond plate. I think they are a bit redundant and clutter up the image.
