Genesis Reproduction Ramp Possibilities

Ok guys, all kidding asside, I know the backglass is ugly, etc. I feel that this game is a blast to play! Is the reason this thing gets such a bad rap strictly the backglass? I picked one up for a very good price, fully shopped and working great, ramps are repaired, but apparently thats expected on this machine, I may have even gotten lucky and found someone with a NOS set to sell. If that comes through, I will have a CQ Gottlieb Genesis, lol. Just looking for what you guys think of this game.

Thanks!

The machine itself is great (in my opinion). Very fun! The backglass is not great, but none of the Gottlieb games from that era (Raven, Hollywood Heat, Spring Break, etc.) had good art on the backglass, so that does not bother me.

If you score NOS ramps, see if you can talk to pinballinc to have them reproduced, as that would be a good seller. I hear that complaint from most Genesis owners.

Fun game that is often overlooked.

Congrats on yours!

Scored the NOS ramps! Hopefully will have them early next week! I have heard something about extra posts to protect them, anyone hear about that?

i used to have a genesis and wish i didnt sell it. it was very very fun and i kept playing game after game. i saw one at the last years york pinball show and was drawn to it like a magnet to play a few games. they are cheap and fun but the backglass is weird

Before you put them on your machine you really should see about having someone make some reproductions, not too many NOS sets floating around
and for the people who own a Genesis you may be their last chance at
getting some made.

I would love to help, who should I contact about the repros?

I would love to see these made.

Pinball Inc. is pretty much the only company manufacturing reproduction ramps in any quantity:

http://pinballinc.com/

Steve Young is the guy to talk to about the Gottlieb licensing but that would be between Pinball Inc. and Pinball Resource. If Pinball Inc. doesn't want to do them you could try contacting Steve directly but as far as I know he has no means to manufacture ramps.

http://www.pbresource.com/

I would be remiss if I didn't give the obligatory "If you decide to sell the ramps please send me a PM. I will buy them and try to make a repro happen".

Don't worry, I don't plan on selling them. I want a repro to happen as well. I would prob buy a repro set, and keep the NOS ones for if I ever decide to sell the machine. I will contact the people you suggested and try to get the ball rolling.

Does anyone have any contact info for Pinball Inc.? There website seems to be pretty outdated, and there is no contact email or phone listed.
