A BP came up locally... dude's asking $400. It appears to be in decent shape. I was looking for an "EM feeling" game for the collection... single level... not a ton of stuff... and this seems to fit the bill even though it's pretty early SS...

Opinions? I sort of like the idea of the moving target.

I've wanted one of these for a while. $400 is a good price for sure. I almost bought one at $800. If you're into the newest pinballs with all the bells and whistles, you might be let down. I think the theme is cool and the game play is just OK.

If I found a nice working Black Pyramid near me for $400.00 it would be in my gameroom already.

Great theme and art and a solid player, IMO.

400 is a no-brainer, assuming it's not trashed.

400.oo is a great price in nice shape.i owened one, but to me it wasnt all that.i like the newer faster games.

Being an "armchair Egyptologist", I'd be all over this pin at $400 for the theme alone. (Much cheaper than a Stargate!)

;)

While I enjoyed playing this game and I would have to say that 400 is a great price, it does not have an "EM" feel. My buddy sold his two or so years ago, but if I remember right, it had a chimes setting for sounds, but it was electronic chimes, not the xylophone type.

I would say that system 1 gottleib games have much more of an "EM" feel. just my 2 cents

The sounds can be changed. The default is the chimes and bells that give it that EM sound. An alternate setting gives you more contemporary beeps and sound effects. You can also have the repetitive background sound on or off, depending on your liking. I like it on because it also signals when to aim at the center moving target.

I'm not sure if they were all mylared, but mine is 80% mylared with mylar around the pop bumpers as well. Typical wear is at the top where the ball enters the PF and bounces off the opposite gate.

Mine is 80% mylared as well. I paid $800 for mine shopped and never regretted it. Simple layout and game play but still challenging to get huge points (to me anyways!). I have a newer DMD pin right now, so the pyramid is getting a little neglected, but if it wasn't for that, I would still play it a lot. $400 is a DEAL.

I paid $400 for mine in the same shape as this one. It was in a church used in a youth group gameroom! It's got the electronic sounds so I would not categorize it as an "early" SS pin and being it was made in 84' Not a bad pin and also production numbers were low so they don't pop up alot.

Ive been looking for one also, there was one local that i missed a few months ago. I love all games with Egyptian art to it..id grab it but more for the artwork than the game play
