Hey guys, I have the chance at getting a dedicated "All American Football" by Leland. (http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=6860) Before I pull the trigger, I was wondering if I could get some input on the gameplay here. Quite simply, is it a good game? Is it fun to play alone, or do you need multiple people playing in order for it to be enjoyable?

And yes, I have tried it on MAME... but for some reason I can not get it to work.

That is just so funny. I repaired one of these yesterday for a guy in Cincinnati. He had a short in his coin door wiring that caused the game to freeze on boot up. I played it a bit afterwords. My take on it.. um.. well, if you can get it really cheap then go for it. I thought the little spring/rotator joystick that you use to pass the ball was pretty unique and was quite fun. Beyond that the game is kinda slow and would get boring real fast even if you have another person to play with but more so if you didn't. The cabinet has an interesting shape to it though. Might be fun to convert to something later on if you get too bored.

I think I will be able to get if for pretty cheap... it is definitely going to need some cabinet work, though. Wouldn't conversion be a bit difficult, though? I don't believe the cab is Jamma.

Also, does anyone know how much this thing weighs? It looks heavy, but I could be wrong.

EDIT: Never mind, guys. The dude I was talking to already sold it to another person. Oh well... maybe next time.

I was thinking since it's a vertical mount game something along the lines of a 60-1 or something. Would still be a bit odd I suppose. Just the cab shape in general is neat, I guess the conversion would be pretty hard when you think about it.
