I've checked YouTube and the game looks okay for its vintage.

The reason I'm asking if the table is any good is because it is coming soon for The Pinball Arcade but unfortunately it is being bundled in with Gottleib's Tee'd Off which I am really not a fan of (besides I already have No Good Gofers). I was going to not bother when it gets released, but I don't know much about Flight 2000.

I do enjoy a lot of the 70-early80's era pinball machines but is this one so awesome it's worth tolerating Tee'd Off for it?

It's worth it. I'd call it a B list title. Very fun when you get 4 players going. The multiball lockups are cooperative, so with 4 players, there's a very good chance someone's gonna get BLAST OFF and hit multi ball every time.

i love F2K.

it was my first pin....and i regret ever selling it.

i'm definitely buying it for the pinball arcade when it releases.

I love it. Excellent wide body with some pretty challenging shots. If I had too choose an early wide body Stern, Flight 2000 would be it. We have one at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach, and it is one of the games that kids seem to love. Perhaps because it is slower than most modern games, and does have a wide variety of shots to make, so the kids can actually spend more than 30 seconds playing a ball.
Many have pretty bad playfields, but CPR has made repo's.

By the way Flight 2000 came out for PS3 Pinball Arcade last night and I bought it based on everyone's recommendation. Very happy I did, it's great.

And as a side note, it's actually not bundled in with Tee'd Off as the original article says but actually packed in with Goin' Nuts so I got two new tables, which was a pleasant surprise. Of course, not half the surprise I got when I tried Goin' Nuts with its wacky ruleset but I'm still happy I bought the pack.

Thanks everyone.

Its a great Pin. I used to always play this one in the bowling alley back in the days and was fortunate enough to find and buy one several years ago.

It's a really pretty game with a interesting play mechanic and multiball mechanism. One of the best Stern titles from that time period.

That being said if you can appreciate pure pins from the early age of SS pins you'll probably like it especially if space themed games are your thing. If you're partial to late 80s or later and hate games without ramps and high tech toys all over the place you won't like it.

Never played it, but people raved about it on RGP. It's popular enough and worth enough $ that people are willing to put a $600 repro playfield in it.. That's gotta say something. It's a good looking game, especially compared to a few of the other Stern titles of that era.
