I have an Operation Wolf game that reboots once the gun trigger is pulled. I have had this game for almost a year with no issues. The game will stay on without issue until the trigger is pulled. Once the trigger is pulled it goes to the start up screen with no credits applied. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

hmm..... possibly a shorted wire going to the gun? those wires move alot, could be a possibility... yoyull have to damn near strip the gun in order to check.

id also be interested to see what the 120vac line voltage in the game is with it on and working,. and after the trigger is pulled.

same for +5vdc and +12vdc at the power supply.

I have had th same issue and I even tried changing the small board on the gun. But no difference. I switched out the gameboard and tried a few other. no difference. I pulled the gun apart but I do not see a wire touching anywhere. Anybody have any ideas???

thanks

Disconnect the motor in the gun - the one that makes the recoil action. Sounds like it's drawing too much current and loading down the power supply.

What part are you talking about disconnnecting. there is the connector to the small board. But the rest goes down throught the harness??

Inside the gun is a motor. It has a two pin connector that plugs it into the rest of the wiring. Unplug it. I can't tell where exactly the connector is just by looking at the manual, but it hooks up to gun harness, which attaches to the rest of the wiring in the game. It *may* be inside the gun. There are two connectors coming from the gun harness: a six pin plug and a 9 pin plug. The 9 pin plug carries the trigger, rocket and start buttons, while the 6 pin plug supplies power to the sensor board and the motor, as well as carrying the sensor output. If the motor connector can't be reached without taking the gun apart, you can unplug this six pin plug as a test. The gun won't register a hit, but pulling the trigger will still be read by the game. If the game doesn't reset, then you've found your problem.
