ok put in a new power supply switcher and now the game works. Im not good with meters and have read this is tricky game with vlts. First i have no sound. when i first got it in a lot all were DOA and i know it sounds like B.S. but they were all fuses! then this one went out and it was the power supply. now everything works but now i have no sound and no bombs from the gun. al the wires look to b still attached right but for the bombs i didnt take the gun cover off to see if a wire came off...it still vibrats and shoots acuratly. I grabed a brand new speaker i had and just plugged it in to rule out th speaker.....so any ideas. And if anyone has one and can with pictures show me where to properly test with the meter and what it should be it will help so much. thanks!!!

take your multimeter and the black lead goes on the switching power supply GND screw
red lead goes on the +5 volts dc and might as well test your +12 volts too
the +12 volt can read anywhere from 9 to 15v dc, since its unregulated and it should still work

hopefully you installed a power supply that has no +12 volt coming out and that's your problem right there

so if i bought a power supply that has a +12 volt spot its wrong? i gotta pull it out and look. why would that make a difference?

looks like he is trying to tell you that 12 volts is not critical to be exact for sound amplification. he is saying if you are lucky your power supply is just broken and nopt putting out 12 volts otherwise you are having a problem on the board that has to be diagnosed.

ohh ok, like i said im a newbie to multi meters...in not even sure what to turnthe knob to to test honestly. guess i need to google how to use them and watch some videos.
