I just picked up an Taito Opration Thunderbolt for $80, the previous owner said it wouldn't turn on so I started to mess around with it and have run into an issue. The game board works fine, I can hear the game coin up and play but the monitor is not working, the neck isn't glowing. There are 2 main fuses in the cabinet one is for the power supply which works fine and the other main fuse seems to be connected to the monitor, the main fuse connected to the monitor seems to blow when the game is turned on, I replaced the fuse with a slow blow fuse and it looks like I also blew the fuse on the monitor chassis now( I know I shouldn't have put a slow blow fuse in but it was the only one I had kicking around at the time), what could be causing the main fuse going to the monitor to keep blowing? Is it a bad ground or maybe the switching power supply is faulty or the isolation transformer is bad. I just got it lastnight so I haven't had a chance to really get into it. Just thought I would get some ideas from who ever can help.
