Operation Wolf has been on my list from the very beginning. I have lots of memories playing this one at the mall arcade in Wichita, even though I could never get very far. It's not highly sought after, and eXidy's price guide tops it out at $150. Maybe it's the weight or the relatively new release date. To me it's worth more, so when one popped up on CL for three-and-a-half bills in awesome shape I was pretty excited.
The problem was that it was in Blue Springs, Missouri, which is something like an 8-hour round trip that I don't have time to make right now. Luckily, I have some GOOD friends in Kansas City that were willing to make the drive, pick it up, and store it for me until Thanksgiving. It took three of them to unload it in my buddy's garage, partially because the casters are missing.
I received this message from my buddy's wife (who has a keen sense of humor) after the game had been unloaded for only a couple of hours:

"Should I go ahead and bill you for the hours of therapy that [my son] will need? His daddy is making him an expert marksman . . . of people."
I told her not to worry, that it was only people with mustaches, and people with mustaches are pretty dangerous anyway. Now all I have to do is wait until Thanksgiving to enjoy my prize. I've attached the only real photo I have of the game until it's in my possession. Here's to good friends!
