I have an Open Ice machine, and 4 competition joysticks ready to install to replace the originals. The joysticks have a washer that goes under the CPO, but above the wood beneath the CPO. That washer's center hole is a bit bigger than whats in the control panel, b/c the competition joystick's shaft width is just a smidge wider than the original joysticks that came with the machine, so I've got to get the CPO off.

The plexi ontop of the CPO was screwed down with several security screws, so I figured (apparently incorrectly..) that the CPO itself was just floating free underneath the plexi.. nope.

Is that CPO glued down, are some of the screws on the backside holding it in somehow?

Any way to remove it without ruining it, so I can get those new washers in there?

To be clear, the CPO itself seems to be a thin piece of paper glued to 1/8" thick wood or particle board. I can get my finger around and under some corners of this thing and pull a bit, and it feels fairly connected..

sounds like a conversion in a non midway cab, the CPO is probably stuck to the wood panel where a midway cp would have a metal plate attached. if there is a metal plate it may be just that it's stuck on there from soda ect...

you were right, it's a metal plate. with 10 screws holding it to the MDF. 4 screws at bottom, holding the MDF to the latch on the panel box, 2 top left and 2 top right, these guys hold the top latches, and two in the middle a inch or two lower than the joysticks.

ah ok that sounds like a midway cabinet then, yup there should be the 12 or so security screws on the top and 6-10 nuts on the inside, you'll have to remove the sticks and buttons.
