I have a C&D with a jamma adapter.

New leaf sticks, new fire button.

Screen and sound work fine.

Also, tested this on a friend's jamma cab, and everything 100% worked.

However, in my cab, when I boot, it automatically goes into test mode.

In test mode, you can see that all stick directions and all buttons are engages (showing as "1")

I checked out the CP, and it all seems plugged in fine.

I traced all the grounds and I don't think I see anything plugged in where it shouldn't be?

I know it's not the jamma adapter because it worked fine in my buddy's cab.

Any ideas what would cause this?

Are there any grounds that should not be connected to the PSU's ground?

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!!

inside the coin door there might be a volume control and a service switch or a reset switch or whatever there
try and toggle it as it may be in test mode there and the source of your trouble

if not, maybe the +5volts dc is up too high or too low to properly operate the game. could be the power supply is bad/misadjusted and sending gameboard into test mode

bust out your trusty multimeter and start measuring the +5 volts coming out of the power supply and then again on the game board to see what you're actually getting. if you have a big discrepancy between the two test points will tell you if you have a problem inside the connector with the pins or a problem with a wire or some problem between the output of the power supply and ON THE BOARD

good luck

The voltage is fine.

It goes into test mode because of the open ground. It's definitely the ground. But everything looks fine!
