OOOPS, I got another Pin befoer my first one was done.

So I bought another project pin befoer my Williams Flash is completed. My Flash is quickley approaching being playable, the boards were fixed (Thanks HHASE). I have some parts on order, then I will fire it back up and hopefully not have to replace too many diodes and bulbs in the playfield.
ANYWAY....I was on ebay and happened to snag this:

A Mr. & Mrs. Pacman. It is missing the MPU board, but it looks to be in decent enough shape, and for $167.50 (i'm gonna round up), I don't think I can complain. I pick it up this weekend. The guy who sold it is probably on here, offered to play some pins and kick back a few, sounds like a klov'er to me. Any thoughts or anything is appreciated. Oh and feel free to flame me for getting another project before the other is done, and getting in way over my head.

Yea, for that price, not shabby. But don't underestimate the amount of work that can go into getting those things 100%. I was disciplined and made sure I got my first one working before I got a second one, but then again, I got the second one within a week of getting the first one working ; )

I have no room to talk now though. I have 3 machines I'm working on right now and someone is bringing me another one next week.

That was my second game as well. I found mine @ an old car swap meet in Redmond Oregon. Paid $175.00 & the game was complete except for one 7-digit display. After many hours with a hot soldering gun in hand (& a lot of parts from GPE) I finally had it running @ 100%. Not my favorite machine, but what a great learning experience.
I am looking to sell this now to help finance my next project.

wow nice score. That is right around the corner from me... too bad i missed that one. Looks pretty good for under $200!!!

The playfield looks really good. The cabinet is really faded but I would still say you did well for the money. I wonder if the translite is a reproduction? All of the ones I've owned have had real glass. Either way... still a great score! I really like that game. It was one of my first as well.

Send me a PM if you're in the market for an MPU.

You won't get any flames from me. I've done that about a hundred times now ;)

You're not even close to over your head. Not yet anyway.
