Nobody pays, it's all for fun. It yields portfolio material for both of us, as you guessed.

Nobody pays, it's all for fun. It yields portfolio material for both of us, as you guessed.
None of them are really pro models, but they have a good attitude.

I do everything I can to make sure that everyone during a shoot is having fun first, the pictures wind up turning out so much better. A model being in a good mood really comes through in the photo, and the me being in a good mood/positive head space while shooting winds up making me look at composition/angles/etc a bit differently, often tripping across great shots I wouldn't have tried if I was tired/irritated/whatever. From the looks of the results, everyone there is having a great time.
