Spent all day at work moving 7 pinballs from a company breakroom, to a huge house about an hour away (started at 10am). Of course, all 7 were going upstairs and the stairs and flooring required removing all the legs, rear clamps, and line cords and dollying them up. So we (2 guys who worked for the company who helped with stairs and then waited to play came with me) get them up and set up, tested to make sure they survived the trip, and finally get out of there (about 4:30pm).
Then get a call from my boss on my way back about some guy who needs an emergency service call for an Easter party this weekend, and it's right on my way back. Of course, it's in one of those areas with only one way in and out, and there are several big businesses in that area that have all their employees leaving when I'm trying to get in and. Finally get to the guy about 5:30, fix his minor issue, and leave.
Get back to the shop about 6:30, change vehicles, and go to pick my wife up from work (she's a teacher and stayed late while waiting for me). On the way there, a guy calls me and tells me he wants to buy a game I had for sale about a year ago but never sold, but only if he can get it by the weekend. I tell him I'll try since I pulled the monitor for a different project and also need to make sure it's still working properly, and I name the price. He agrees and - after picking up my wife - I run home, eat something really quick, then get started. I find my best no-burn 25" tube, check to see it takes a 25" K7000, pull one down from the stacks and rebuild it, test to make sure it's good, then install it in the game. That's when I realized this cab didn't have an iso, so I had to dig one of those up and install it. Then cleaned it all up, replaced 3 switches that were iffy, made sure everything else was good, and just called the guy a few minutes ago to set the delivery for tomorrow.
It's now midnight, and I'm exhausted. Only the idea of making a sale kept me going all night. Now I'm going to crash.
The things we go through for these games....
