One of the Midway engineers must have been a "The Who" fan.

I was inspecing a pile of boards I scrapped out of the soggy remains of an Arctic Thunder and saw a board called the "Substitute Magicbus." Anybody picking it up yet? Well, in case you didnt get the Who reference, he screen printed the lyrics on the board for you.

Nice :D !

Is there a collection of all these printings on pcbs? I remember seeing a lot of them from Atari boards posted somewhere before.

I dont know if it was that they were fans of the Who so much as fans of the "herb" if you get my drift.

In the 90's, Williams had a patent on the way the flippers worked in the pinball machines they built.

So Data East, not to be outdone, came up with a kick-ass way to design the flippers themselves.... when they put the board in the cabinet, the part # had TY-FFASI silkscreened above it.

Williams was suing Data East about the flipper design, and the part # designation stood for

"Take you fucking flippers and stick it"
