Thanks for helping out with the 19VLUP22 which did turn out to be for the vector 6100 monitor. I went to my storage last night and looked at a 6100 monitor I had in there and it did turn out that the NOS tube I have is the same as on the 6100. So you guys really no your stuff. I stick on on ebay tonight. Now after looking through them I found that this one was different. It is a 19VMBP22. I posted pictures of it. What chassis will this tube work with if any?

Are there any raised lettering on the tube similar to what was pictured in your fourth photo on the previous posting? You don't need to add a pic, just tell me what it reads.

For now it appears to be a 19" raster monitor that would work for a G07, 4600, 4900, etc except the bell looks oddly shaped to me...

I just rechecked and it has 19V90. I didn't see this at first because it was covered up by dust.

cr-23 adapter but look for what oryk said, a raised lettering on the tube, like on the other where it said 19v100

Then I would say that it is useful as a replacement for the standard raster monitors like the ones I listed above. If it was a 100 degree tube it woould have been a good replacement for an Ampliphone vector.

Hey DJ, can you take some pics of the inside of the box that came in? Just curious as to what the box from a manufacturer looked like.

I just updated the pictures. The shipping address on it is coming from Electrohome (USA) in New York.

Conveniently a local has posted a cl add looking for someone to repair his Major Havoc machine and one of his pics clearly shows the tube number (M48AA00X). The number is different from what you have, but I could be mistaken about the Electrohome vector using a 100 degree tube.

So are you saying this is not a regular raster tube? I'm confused now.

The tube doesn't care if raster or vector graphics are displayed. However, the picture will not display properly if it is designed for a 90 degree tube and a 100 degree tube is used.

In my opinion this is a normal raster tube that would be used with a G07, K4600, K4900, K7000 (large neck), and many other raster chassis.

Ok. I understand now. Well thats good. I'll keep this one then. Now I just got to find someone that can switch the yoke and chassic for a working monitor to this tube.

That was pretty standard packing for tubes and the ONLY way to ship one. You can buy packing like this from Hawkeye tube in Iowa.

An Amplifone (correct spellling) is actually a 90 degree tube. The number mentioned in another post to this thread is correct for an AMP. The 6100 uses the 100 degree tube. Easy way to remember is the 100 at the end of the 6100 designation.

Which post? The one I mentionied above (M48AA00X) or another.

Also, do you know of anything special about the Amplifone tube? I have seen no shortage of 90 degree 19" tubes that use the CR23 adaptor in my area...

The 19VLUP22 is a 100 degree tube and is used in the Wells Gardner 6100 and also used in the Electrohome G08. The Amplifone uses a 90 degree M48AAWOOX

SaminVA. So this one is a regular raster tube 19VLUP22 then correct?

dj, I think you're confusing yourself :)
A tube is a tube (so to say)....they all do the same thing. There isn't a difference between vector tubes and raster tubes (as far as how they work). The differences are: size (19", 25", etc.), dot pitch (equating to resolution), deflection angle (90°, 100°, etc.), and neck diameter and its pinout.

A good example is the Amplifone vector monitor. It shipped with, one of two, different tubes. One is the Rauland tube (already mentioned in this thread). This is the more desired tube by Amplifone owners. It is a medium resolution tube (this means it has a tighter dot pitch than a standard resolution tube---equating to a sharper image). The other tube was a RCA (IIRC) tube. This was a standard resolution tube. This same tube is also commonly found on WG4900 series monitors (a raster monitor and a vector monitor using the same tube). It boils down to...what monitors use the tubes you have.

The 19VLUP22 is a replacement for WG6100 series, WG6400 series, and the Electrohome G0-8 (all of these happen to be vectors, but doesn't mean this tube isn't used in a raster application....somewhere).

Your other tube, the 19VMBP22....is a replacement for WG4600 series, WG4900 series, Electrohome G-07, Amplifone 19" vector, and probably many others. It'll probably work with the Sanyo EZV's (might have to get creative with mounting).

I hope this makes sense, as opposed to being more confusing.

Edward
