Another Idea Im throwing around is making a kit that will let you run both MK3 and UMK3 from the same board, as well as maybe also have like Juggernaut upgrade option , and any other upgrade option for UMK3. It would be be easy to use with dipswitches or just normal 4 or 5 way switch. , and only one WOLF PCB needed, but the size of this may make this cost too much to produce. I'll throw around the idea, if anyone is interested in one at around at least 130.00 each then let me know and Ill look into making this.

I'd be interested in seeing a prototype. Would this be accomplished by adding both games' info on one rom or some kind of daughter board?

I'm no MK expert, but isn't UMK3 the same game as MK3, except extra stuff?

There are lots of differences between the two. If you are a MK collector then you would understand. But its mainly for collectors , I can see how someone who isnt into MK would think its a waste of money.

I have a MK4 that has MK1, MK2, MK3, UMK3, and MK4 boards inside it. PAIN in the ass to wire up all the kickharnesses . Also if you want any of the different version of MK2 or MK3 then you have to pull the PCB and change the eproms, which is where this idea is coming from. Im also looking into making a kick harness pcb so you dont have to cut any wiring in your MK cab, just plug each kick harness into it and then the control panel and your set.

I would definitely 100% be all over this option, and possibly the "complete mk3 upgrade".

well it looks like there is some interest in this, Ill start working on it, and try to be able to include all the upgrades..
So far off the top of my head there is
MK3 Rev 2.1
UMK3
Juggernaut( 6 eproms)
Zues (2 eproms)
and what else?

Ah... yeah, I'm a VERY casual MK player. I guess I believed the marketing that UMK3 was the ULTIMATE Mortal Kombat 3, so who would want something that's not Ultimate? :)

I wouldn't even bother with the Zeus. It gets rid of Shang and Stryker and puts Noob and HS in their place. With Jugg, you can play with every character including Noob and HS. The hidden characters are also auto unlocked with Jugg unlike Zeus.

forgive me for the stupid question, but is this $130 (estimate) for the complete set up, or something that needs to be put onto a mk3/umk3 board already?

Im pretty sure I would be on this like a fat kid on cake. If I have the mk3 2.1 would you consider a daughter board adapter for sale only? Very interesting though.

Wow no kick harness Condenser votes... i mean i don't mind diodes but i would thing that would be a hot item.

Well I gotta find a cheaper PCB company then the one I use, price for the pcb was going to be about 92.00 for 6 of them, 113.00 for 2. Not cost effective, this is with expressPCB, board will have to be about 8"x12" to hold all 62 chips needed. And its going to be as ugly as the Wolf unit board itself with all the sockets needed.

Any suggestions on a PCB company that can make larger PCBs ?
I'll look into making two different PCBs with a cable too see if that makes it cheaper but I doubt it.
