I just made a vid of my WCS where I got to defeat Germany.

If you don't know about this pin, take a look. I won't speak of it ever again!

Yes, you can really tell when I get to LA against Germany at 11:30, because every time Germany scores, my GI goes out and in real fast. Bulbs don't have that type of reaction time... or brightness... or life... or cool temp.... basically, I hate bulbs.

I only watched a couple of seconds of the clip, so I didnt notice the reaction times. The colors just looked very different from what I am use to. If you don't mind me asking how much did you spend to convert to LED's?

Too much brightness and no ramp-up/down time for LEDs (along with the horrific strobe effects that make it hard to follow the ball) is a deal killer for me. Until someone makes a game that is designed to handle LEDs properly, or an LED that truly mimics the mellow smooth illumination of bulbs (that they were designed for), you'll never see an LED in any of my pins (except maybe for the backglass illumination or flasher substitutes). OTOH, colored bulbs for GI makes a huge positive difference, imo. (I played a SM with all LEDs and literally wanted to tear my eyeballs out afterward, and following the ball across the pf was actually painful and difficult.)

A huge storm hit my area that took out power for 5 hours. I was able to use the 100mb verizon 3G that google gave me with the laptop. I lived vicariously through your playing for about 8 minutes before I used up all the 3G. When power is out it is hard to play pinball ;)

Great playing and such a great game. I loved how you explain the game with the notes in the vid. This is Bowen K style awesome. Great vid.

There are a VERY small handful of games that I feel can pull off full LED's and this is one of them. I don't care for the color you used for the Cities but all in all it looks great and don't blind the hell out of you playing it appears.

Here's a helpful hint. In the World Cup, keep only TWO balls going. Jacking balls into play is probably the worst thing you can do. The balls collide too often. The whole idea is to shoot one into the goal as the other ball is coming down the habitrail. You get the timing down right and you can rack up a new record quite easily. My record on goals is 14.

WCS94 is a great game for sure.

Congo is another game that was made for LEDs. The diamonds look a brillant white with LEDs and there is no ghosting on the game with them, whatsoever. Love WCS, just recently sold mine.

Wow, looks great.

And I'll agree World Cup Soccer 94 is a great game. There's one at a bowling alley about 30 miles from here (along with a DE Star Wars, Johnny Mneumonic and a Doctor Who). When I found them WCS94 was the last one I tried because I hate soccer, but I ended up playing for about 45 minutes on the thing. Couldn't walk away from it.

That game looks great with the LED's. I really like WCS, and miss the one I had. The play is a lot of fun. And getting to the Wizard mode just makes you want to play it more (instead of feeling like you have nothing else to do in the game). Seeing and hearing this video makes me want one again even more.

Do you have the Extra ball buy-in turned off? I disabled that immediately, worst feature ever added to pins. Also always turn off Extra Balls instead of Specials.

It's so satisfying to play (and hopefully) beat Germany in this game.

Extra ball buy in button on my game only serves one purpose: the secret jackpot re-lite. Otherwise, I always have that off on my games.

Regarding the color of the city lights, I actually changed them to that and greatly prefer it!! I had purple lights under there, and they made them almost burgundy. I changed them to cool white under, and now they actually look purple. I liked it so much that I changed my flipper rubber to purple to match. ;)

EDIT: Wade, I agree about going against Germany. It just makes me want to do it more. On some pins, when you "beat" the game, it makes it less attractive to play. With this, you can keep doing other things that almost as satisfying. Plus, you can get back to Germany again in the same game. But, after the game is over, you are ready to play all over again right away. When I get to the wizard mode in other games, I can't play it right away again for some reason.
