One game you want but know you probably wont ever have

I'm still searching for one of these, since Zud won't sell me his :D

I have a bunch of boards, but no cab. I think that's the best looking of them (the other common one was just plain woodgrain, looking alot like a Frogger cab)

Nice pic / cab CKF, any more pics of that cab?

I am trying to do artwork for the bezel for a CK cab :)

Exidy Star Fire cockpit in beautiful and working condition.

I never say never...

Just found a Panzer Attack, Red Baron EM, and a Stunt Pilot. If used to collect parts
for WW1 Airplanes for Christ sake so by comparison this stuff is not so rare it's unobtainable. Keep the faith
and you'll find what you're looking for as long as you're willing to pay for it :)

Defender Pinball

(...would look great next to my Joust pin ... )

[ BTW, if anyone has a Defender pin for sale .... humor me ! ;-) ]

Steph

Why can I find OTHER people's 'must have' games, but I can never locate mine nearby?

Found a (Dirty) Defender pin, still on the hunt for older EM games (non-pin) as well as a Dr Who and Stargate pin.

I'm sure I'll get them sooner or later but to answer the OP, the game I really want is an Omega Race cockpit, but I'll probably never have one because of the space it takes up (I could fit another pin there!)

Killer Instinct .. the board is hard to find and ebay scalpers killed the market.
Cabal.. I would LOVE to have that game.

SPACE FURY! I've never seen a Space Fury for sale locally, ever. Someone told me that the reason you can't find many of the old Sega cabs is because they were all turned into super poker machines.

The one game I want but probably will never have is the original Gradius for three reasons:

1) It was originally released for the Konami Bubble System arcade board, which is very unreliable. Because of this, it's hard to find a working board.
2) The ROM chip rerelease is INSANELY expensive(I saw it go for several thousand dollars US on Yahoo! Japan auctions).
3) Its harder variant, Nemesis, is pretty much nowhere to be found.

Nemesis is not a variant per-say, it's just the Japanese version of Gradius.

It's also officially released on System 16 hardware, which is more reliable and plentiful. Infact ALL 4 games on Bubble System are originally on Sys 16 hardware, Bubble System boards might as well just be forgotten by all...I'm sure Konami would pretend they never existed.

For me it's an Afterburner Deluxe and a G-Loc R360, both for space...the R-360 for price.

Tron/EDOT. Prices just too high... I really just want a normal TRON cab since I loved the movie so much but good luck finding one for anything below retail, let alone in VA... :(

Oh this is an easy one for me, mainly because I'll never spend the money it would take to land one :

Hey, that was my answer. :) I really want one, but could never justify the $5k. It would look great next to my SW:E1 however (another game I thought I would never own).

$5K? No, more like $8K plus...it's gone crazy...MM is more expensive than brand new Stern pins. Go figure. That's why I stay in the 80s...much cheaper.

For all my non-arcade friends, they all say variations on: "I would love to have a Ms. Pacman" or Centipede...seems those two always get referenced by the layman.

I don't have just one of those. If I had to pick one, its probably Guns N Roses or STTNG pins.

... Now I'll only take on $50 "can't pass-ups"... :D ...

...so what happens tonight?

I'm at my favorite Sunday afternoon hang... And I mistakenly check craigslist... Even though I know I shouldn't...

I now own an Asteroids cocktail.
