One bad thing about this hobby

I have moved my last 5 games down 13 steps into my basement by myself. I completely stripped each one down to just the PS and PCB and that made it much easier.Dig dug and APB were the heaviest then followed by rtype,DKJ and popeye. Ever since trying to bring an HS-51 up the steps I no longer bring games into the house until they are stripped down.

Cabinets are heavy.

I messed up my back pretty good Friday night while unloading a Ms. PacMan from my truck by myself. I have had lower back issues and should have known better than to mess with it alone, especially since I was already really tired when I did it.

What really stinks is I had two other games to pick up this weekend but had to put them off until next weekend at very least.

The secret to moving games is to use their weight to move them, not your back. Was the Ms. Pac standing up? To move it out of a truck, I just lay them on their back, then pull them out about 3/4ths, then just sit that end down, done. That way you've only got about 50 pounds in your hands!

My Killer Instinct is my heaviest game. Same cab as mortal kombats, they are heavy!@
I had a sitdown Manxx TT superbike. It came apart in three sections and each section was just as heavy as a full arcade machine. The center section was the worst.

YES! I moved a Manxx TT once. The game took up a whole fucking pickup truck, almost killed me even though I had a liftgate!
