Cabinets are heavy.

I messed up my back pretty good Friday night while unloading a Ms. PacMan from my truck by myself. I have had lower back issues and should have known better than to mess with it alone, especially since I was already really tired when I did it.

What really stinks is I had two other games to pick up this weekend but had to put them off until next weekend at very least.

:(

I know - those Midway cabinets are pretty light compared to many other cabinrts. That's what makes it even worse.

If it were a bigger cabinet I probably would have been more careful and might not have hurt my back.

That is why I use one of these.

Can fit a lot of games in it, and has ramps to help.

(Not what I originally bought the trailer for though).

Damm Racing games Are Heavy,
I feel your Pain.
3 lower Back Discs Blown
2 in the neck are Blown
I get Decompression Therpy it works but takes time.
I do not want to go under the KNIFE

Weight is relative.

And by that, I just mean that my family is well-fed.

Ms. Pac is actually a 'normal' weight cab. Be careful if you ever have to move something really heavy!

I keep waiting on one of our local arcade guys to finally get around to installing a power lift gate on the back of my truck.

Try one of these cabinets. They don't look particularly heavy, and they have 4 wheels, so they roll pretty easily, but once you have to lift one... OOMPH! Just imagine, that instead of wood in your Ms. pac, you have metal... and I don't mean aluminum or magnesium.

Loaded a Operation Thunderbolt on a four wheel drive pick-up before I got the Isuzu with a lift gate., WOW HEAVY, HEAVY, HEAVY .
The worst part was this is one of my first games., So this got me second guessing this hobby untill I reallized most games are lighter.... Thank God..........

Sega newish driving games like Outrun 2, NASCAR on a regular pickup without ramps is crazy, Gauntlet Dark Legacys, Sega cabinets like Confidential Mission, Lost World, whilst might be on wheels but so damn huge and heavy, although the one that caught me off guard is a dedicated Zaxxon, small cabinet, thinking was gonna be light, oh no! far from it!
got messed up shoulder and back, do I ever learn? nope as picked up a Super Off Road today :)

Meh. Move an EDOT in the back of a truck. Even WITH a lift gate, it's a bitch...

The worst part isn't the weight, it's the sound of the metal casters on a Konami 4P cab scraping against a garage floor. Anyone who has heard it can attest- nails on a chalkboard got nothin' on it.

Just to lift it high enough to put two 4 wheel dolly's under it(one at a time), will make you almost drop a nut. Even moving it out from the wall and back will make you grunt and sweat, the wheels on these cabs are horrible as well. Golden Tee cabs are pretty bad too. Every game in my room, minus the Final Lap 2, are all sitting on carpet sliders. I'm finding out that these are a must if you plan on moving games around inside.
