On the table this year.. to form!

Yes outrun is going to happen and while my time is VERY limited the project will happen. am finishing up two others simultaneously right now. Once those are done I can start to build a bigger machine and then I can tackle the outrun and also the spyhunter seat.

Woo hoo! I'll be down for a couple of those. Are you doing the plastic monitor bezel with it as well? Because those almost always have cig burns on them.

No, the part can even be broken. I dont need it to be perfect. Its better if it is not.

So an outrun dash front set. I think we can do that!

I just finished the monitor bubble protector. Go and see in the For Sale section.

PF!

Yes, I just posted a pic of the monitor bubble protector in the for sale area, but here it is as well!

Good job! That piece looks great!

While there are definitely some parts needed in this side of things, the pin side has some ramps that have never been reproduced and are desirable.

An example is Gottlieb Genesis. With that though, you'd have to be authorized by Pinball Resource who does the Gottlieb stuff, but it might be worth it for you..

OK, I'll plead ignorance. What is a monitor bubble protector? What does it do? Where is it mounted? What kinds of games use it?

There is a hole in the back door of some Cabaret-sized cabinets to allow room for the monitor neck. This bubble covers that opening, protecting the monitor neck.

Not just cabaret cabs

Ahh, I learned something today. Thanks. So that one looks much larger than the ones I'm thinking of... I'm guessing there were a few different sizes of these for the various cabinets?

I can verify that there's at least more than one size.

I bought a repro bubble a while back (forget the source) to use on my TRON cabaret, and it didn't fit. It wasn't big enough to cover the opening in the back door, and it was far deeper than the original.

OK the molds are done for the Genesis pinball ramps as well. Finally! Those were a mother to get worked out. But done.

So I am forming monitor bubbles as I got the plastic in today and also the Genesis ramps as well this weekend.

So next is casting some items people have sent me. Then we can look at the outrun parts and other things.

Just FYI.. plastic went through the roof in January. It is costing a ton more to do these parts. I am not charging for making molds, but I am going to have to charge for plastic prices accordingly. I know cost to do is always an issue, but I will be cheaper than a place that sys sure, $20.00 per part... and a 200 part minimum.

So please do keep that in mind!

THanks!

Price of oil driving plastic up?

Sadly it is. People freak out at a sign of a disturbance at the mideast... buy oil and then drive the price up.. it calms down.. oil drops and the rich get richer... sad...

Pics are coming of the items done this weekend!
