I'm friends with John Parrish (the actor who played Jax in MK2 and MK3) on FB and he announced an MK tournament at Galloping Ghost Arcade this coming Friday. Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal and I'd skip it, but according to John, most of the original MK1/MK2 actors will be on-hand to sign autographs and "compete."

I can't pass that up so early Friday morning, I'm packing up the car with collectables and heading for "Chi Town." 11 hours there and 11 hours back. Gonna get a hotel for Friday and Saturday night and head back to Kansas Sunday. Should be a LOT of fun. I'll take plenty of pics/vids. It will be worth the trip just to check out the Galloping Ghost Arcade. May stay an extra day and do a video tour for my youtube page. Regardless, I'll let you guys know how it goes. Stay tuned!

Sounds fun, if the weather holds out and nothing comes up I may make a trip out there too.

Yes drive safe, Driving in Chicago is always a headache if the weather isn't cooperating.

Thanks guys. I've got GPS, patience, and a good frame of mind. I lived in San Diego for a couple years while serving in the Navy so I have been somewhat acclimated to how bad traffic can get in the big cities, but the arcade is in Brookfield.

I bet you'll be driving I-70 thru Missouri. Theres a few of us along that route. I see a great excuse for another midwest roundup :D

Have a fun & safe trip

San Diego?

As far as I know, all of them.

Brookfield is a breeze to drive in. Not bad at all. Hit up Giordano's Pizza while you are there.

Galloping Ghost's FB page lists the tournament for Saturday and Sunday. Would Saturday be the best day to show up if my kid wanted autographs, you think?

I'll be there at some point in time on Saturday. I'm thinking it should be an awesome turnout.I have a couple of things I'm hoping to get signed.
