Holy crap! I'm waiting for that thing to stand up and walk across the room to kill the designer.

I really have to admire certain parts of that setup, but some of it just doesn't make sense. For example, the auto retracting keyboard is nice, but the position of it doesn't make sense to me. The steering wheels would be great for Super Sprint, but they look like they would be somewhat in the way for non-racing games. Maybe it's the angle.

Just in case you need 9 buttons for one game. In fact, a 4 player game with 9 buttons per player. It is a good way to never need a CPO though. All those buttons will prevent you from ever touching the bare wood and getting splinters :)

shitty craftsmanship. poorly designed. couple holsters wouldnt work for those guns? had to build those big ugly boxes for them? couldnt have a wireless keyboard in a drawer somewhere? that in itself says someone doesnt understand MAME, i cant remember the last time i needed a keyboard for my MAME cab, years ago... and really? 9 buttons per player??? how many 4 player games require 9 buttons per player? zero??? and then, yeah, the lack of spinner. if youre gonna build something that big and shitty it damn well better have a spinner. i am not playing arkanoid with a fuckin steering wheel. none of the screw holes are countersunk, half the joints dont line up straight, how much you want to bet they never even get around to finishing it or painting it? what a waste of wood.

Tell me this cat did not use 1/2" plywood. For a good minute I thought this thing was made outta cardboard. Real talk.

This guy had all these ideas and none of the artistic sense to put it together decently. Just threw everything together in a fucked up "ALL IN ONE ULTIMO MAME ARCADE MACHINE!!!!!111" mess.

This is a prime example of a MAME Cab gone wrong.

I mean, four steering wheels? A bunch of useless LED light? A touch pad remote control? An annoying talking front end? Nine....NINE buttons for EACH player? And with 36 push buttons he still needs six admin buttons?

Is this nucca landin on the moon? My dude got his cabinet talkin like it's Knight Rider.

He got time and money for all that but couldn't get a can of paint and a marquee? Hell, the money he spent on the steering wheels alone coulda jus built a second cab.

And last, he boots up his arcade cabinet and plays Sega Genesis. C'mon my dude. This one got me a lil hyped lol. He makin us MAME builders look bad!

Nice position of the trackball at an angle. Try playing centipede with that thing.

Once again, the desire to play everything in the universe on one cabinet defeats the playability of almost anything. Is he really going to spend much time playing joystick games by leaning past those wheels? I don't think so.

I wish more people would think about their cabs and how they are going to use them before cutting wood. When I first had the idea for a MAME cab, I was thinking of jamming every control in the book in there, but then I thought it through. Repeatedly. With drawings of possible control layouts (all of which ended up looking stupid). At which point I realized that you can't put all of the controls in the universe on the stupid thing at once!

I have yet to put together my MAME setup, but when I do, it's going into a cocktail table Missile Command I have, and it will only play trackball games. If I want joystick games, that'll be another cab.

Me to. In fact, I'm kind of disappointed it didn't morph into this at the end.

You're right! At first I thought that those nine buttons per player were six buttons for street fighter games and the other three were stuff like Coin, Start and maybe Service, but then I saw those top buttons so that couldn't be it.

Yes, even I (who has been a defender of these things) Have to admit that I probably wouldn't enjoy that setup too much... Infact, in a seated position, it doesn' look like I would be able to reach the joysticks!
