Thought I would throw my MVC panel in there too:

You need to route that cavity and put some dust cover disks on them green handles! What's with all of the colored sticks?

The routing is going to happen in the near future, I am so surprised that those PVG/Semco (Hannaho) cabinets came unrouted. Actually I am going to use a milling machine rather than a router. It works great!

As for the colored sticks, it is a personal preference. My MK1 and Neo have red sticks, and my WIP Xbox 360 cabinet has white.

Awesome addition to your wonderful game room!

Great to see you're open minded to games like this (same goes for your Neo-Geo), lot's of other collectors seem to hate fighting games. I think the cab and art are quite ugly (except the bezel) but the game play makes up for it all.

There are dust covers, just on the bottom, at least until I route the panel. I will probably replace the comps with Eurosticks just because they are slightly better, and have matching dust covers.

dust covers always match the stick handle color. The seller miss matched it to you or you ordered replacements.

Happ Comps are clones of iL Eurosticks and you probably couldn't tell the difference in a home situation once they are broken in.

I have both, and I can tell the difference, it is slight. I have put much consideration into my opinion. Also, when a stick is "broken in" it is time to replace it IMHO. :D

The real difference is the use of nylon in the Eurosticks and PVC in the HAPPs. The first run of the PVC actuators on the HAPP sticks where crap, and required they be replaced with the actuator from a Eurostick. The revised PVC actuator is much better than the first run, and doesn't need to be replaced.

The Eurosticks not only have a nylon actuator (part # 95-0197-00 on the HAPP exploded view) but also part # 90-0199-10 is nylon. This makes another slight difference. Part 95-0194-00 is nylon on the Eurostick, but it really doesn't make a difference. Also the E clip is lighter weight on the Eurostick.

The real difference is that the IL stick is on $1 more and you get a color matched dust cover, which wouldn't matter to you because you like black sticks. HAPP sticks no longer come with color dust covers since the change to PVC. They are all black now. If you find a seller that sells them with color dust covers they are selling you Eurosticks.

Just sayin.

Edit:
Here check out Lizard Lick photos of the HAPP sticks:

And the IL sticks from Paradise:

Also, you can get the IL sticks in more colors, Orange and White!

Also see the white nylon actuator on the IL:

Vs the black PVC on the HAPP (see above)

Not sure if your joking, but that is NOS and yellow on purpose. There were marquees in yellow also. I'd be interested in both for a future project. Not sure if they did yellow bezels.

I've been researching CE restorations on various forums and found this pic of a yellowing CPO. I can't believe how yellow that NOS one shown a few posts back is. I thought it must've been a yellow colored CPO, but then I found this pic; it looks like one that started to yellow over time.

Also still looking for anything official from Dynamo that mentions and HS-9. I've found several pictures of the same strange configuration cab I have, and many reference HS9 or HS-9 or HS9A or HS-9A, but there are no dyanmo markings, and its not shown in any Dynamo catalogues or flyers.

Check Dr Zero's Dynamo page:

Damn some of those are ugly, and I had never seen before. I would run my arcade games in a cardboard box before I would buy some of those models. LOL

Mine is as yellow!

If anyone finds a good source for these CPOs let me know. I would like to replace mine.

Thanks for the link; there's no mention of an HS-9 on his page. I found another thread where Dr. Zero mentioned he was trying to get in touch people at Dynamo, and they had nothing on this cab.

Evitently they're very rare. Please keep a look out for my CL post: "WTS - HS9 - $5K RARE Collector's Item!!!"

I cant wait to get my sf2ce with full artwork, should be getting it in 2 weeks

hmmmm

on another note, I did find a where I had seen one of the Yellow CPOs like the one shown.
it was on a conversion Z-back

I can see why you say that, but I bet a HS-11 might look good in person with the right artwork:

I have never seen one IRL, I wonder if many were made.

Anyone???

I've never seen one either. Maybe it was released in a different region? Though, I don't know if I'd want to own one to be honest. It looks like a stacking chair. :)

I was thinking it looks like someone threw a tv monitor on a lawn chair. lol

And it's not alone. a HS-3, HS-4, HS-12, & HS13 are all quite ugly and bulky.

I actually favor Dynamos, and I like: HS-2, HS-5 & LOVE the HS-15! If I had the space I would own one hands down.

I bought the cpo off feebay some canadian seller. Let me know if you need help.

I'm planning to do a resto thread, but a quick update here: Over the last two weeks I stripped this cabinet down, made a bunch of structural improvements. Did the full vinyl strip, bondo & surface prep, and painted. I'll add black T-molding and SF2:CE art next:

Lots of scraping/peeling/sanding/bondo/repeat repeat repeat repeat….

New paint job – Not even close to an exact match, but I was loosely following the 'big blue' scheme:

….Oh yea…and the reason the work is only done in small "nap-length" increments is my helper - **she was not present for any sanding or bondo work.**
