Omgwtficopiedjohnbbq!! Sf2-hf

yeah, I woudln't order from that dude. He has repro art for everything. I always get tricked into looking at his auctions only to see it is repro non-plexi shit.

Yeah, I didn't really read the listings, but glad you and Jeff read into it more. Hopefully, my other suggestions are better routes to take. :)

Why a Z-back?

It's also one of (only?) the cabs HF dedicated left the factory in. It's crazy how we've had epic threads over this topic, but it still gets brought up in a new thread every week. :p

Unless you're hardcore OCD about sf2, I wouldn't trip about that cabinet type. It's still a nice setup for playing the game. I def don't like that bezel though.

I think to me it's more important how authentic that Control panel is vs the which Dynamo it is in.

you want to do it all up like this.

For both cabs I'm trying to do the CPO that is like this but has the button labels, joystick star and the yellow dialogue squares. I'm going with plexiglass added on top for that nice shiny look and long lasting durability. Also, were most HS-1 & 2 cabs stuck with that 45 degree angle CP? Those suck!

I dunno about you guys, but I also try to take the excess CP art work and cut a piece that fits the "cut corners" and cover that portion as well. My wife came up with doing that with my first Z-back, so I can't take credit.

That's exactly what I'm looking to do - this CPO and bezel, but with the labels, yellow box, etc...

I do like the look of that more generic metal finish lookig capcom cpo a lot, but the more original CE version is what I remember.

I'm not stressing on the cab style at all. Actually, the 2 tone look of the HS9 is starting to grow on me some. I may paint the lower half black, and try to match the big-blue color for the upper.

To fit this game in my garage I turned the rest of my games facing out, so they're in a standard line with the side art all hidden. Before I had them sideways so you could see and appreciate the art. So...once its all said and done the cabinet won't be seen a whole lot anyway.

I like this one, although this one has yellowed. Someone sell me a NOS CE CPO!

Not sure if your joking, but that is NOS and yellow on purpose. There were marquees in yellow also. I'd be interested in both for a future project. Not sure if they did yellow bezels.

@JeffC

Yeah the CPO with lables are how the old CE & HF came. Those shown above are generics.

@treborlicec

You're right, the Bezels and CPO came in yellow. I've seen them with the HF marquee to give it that complete yellow look. However, very rarely have I seen that. I think the reason why the yellow CPO & Bezels existed were because of the bootleg "Yellow Label ED" There is also a Yellow CE Marquee that said "Special Label" or something like that without the Capcom logo in it.

Wow..that is ugly. That may be NOS,but that CPO reminds me of the yellowish drapes you'd see in a chainsmoker's house. That or a urinal mat.

Urine Fighter II: Turbo Hyper Pissing Edition.

BTW: I did run into a website that has some info on dynamo cabs,although the HS-9A is not on there. :(

Yellow CPO would be news to me. I've never, ever seen or heard of it in all of these years. Prairied?

I saw all types of NOS in the Capcom arcade division (no I didn't work in that side) hanging out with Hugo (the last tech there) but I've never seen a yellow one like this.

Although this one is cut, the ones I've seen of this print have the print registration marks like this.

Either the yellow ones are a different run at Capcom with a different printer (the later ones like my diamond plate, generic speckle, and blue have no print registation marks) or this is a boot reprint.

I can't say with any certainty... Maybe this one just was pre-trimmed backing paper.

This would make sense. I've only seen on the internet once or twice someone using the yellow artwork with the HF marquee. But it's even shown here on this site. I think it's uglier than hell, but it would be cool to have for a rare collectors item if you're into collecting bootlegs and whatnot. Also the marquee said "special features!" not the other way. LOL

If they indeed made this for the yellow label ED. I wonder why they didn't do a all red for "Red Wave" or all blue for "Thunder ED" and all black for the "Black belt" etc? Speaking of..... I have never seen BB ED. Has anyone else?

You are listing all 2 chip hacks for CE. Why rhey would build out an artwok kit is beyond me. The bootleggers are not that industrious.

I have seen a couple of the yellow CPOsin the wild after many conversions and always just thought that it was just badly worn...

What I don't get is why in this later version of a dynamo model that they didn't drill the buttons to match the center line of the joystick.

They instead choose to drill the buttons matching the punch with the centerline of the joystick. They only did that on the first control panels for SF2:WW. After that they drilled everything to be equidistant from both rows of buttons.

My HS-5's control panel is like that panel above. Also there are hole for 6 buttons, the extra two are covered by Chung-Li:
