OMGWTFdidIdo(BBQ)

Taking pics is all I'll be able to do for a while. My game room(s) are in the basement, and I'm not going to risk moving this down there on my own.

What makes it even better is all of my pin protector stuff showed up yesterday (leg, start button, and flipper button protectors). Can't wait to install this stuff...

UPS just pulled up 2 houses down. Don't think they are the shippers though.

*edit: Nope, she just drove right on by. Damn it...

I feel your pain, when mine showed up I was the next to the last stop for the day, the wait was terrible. At least when mine showed up I was able to get right to setting it up. The wife decided to let me put it into the family room, didn't have to drag it down to the basement with the other pins.
Did you order the scoop protector from Mantis? I've got one of those on the way, still waiting for PBL to get the shaker in stock.
Something you might want to check when you set it up is the clearance between the shoot rod and the auto launch. Mine, and a couple others I heard about, had the shoot rod tip rubbing against the launch. I had to adjust the shooter assembly to get clearance so the rod tip didn't get chewed up.

As you might have guessed, it showed up (right as my laptop battery died). Moving/unboxing thread soon to come!

I haven't ordered (or heard of) a mantis protector, but if it's anything like a cliffy, I'm going to fab my own.

The Mantis (or Kerry) protector is at:
http://www.mantisamusements.com/protector.htm

The Tron one is at the bottom of the page. I prefer Kerry's protectors to the Cliffy's, they sit inside the hole instead of around it. The Cliffy's effect game play on some games, the Kerry doesn't do that, it just protects the hole. If you have a lot of wear the Cliffy will cover it though. Cliffy actually gave up on Tron, the scoop is so big his protectors wouldn't sit flat around the whole thing.

Thanks, that is basically like the one I am going to make. On another note, after 30ish games I upped my personal best to 32 mil.

Side note, I could've sworn the Tron Pro I played in the wild had two lightcycle toys, but mine has one lightcycle and one of Quora's 4 wheeled thing. I can't tell from the pics I've seen on Google though. Am I crazy, or did the early Pros come with two lightcycles?

I knew I wasn't crazy. From Sterns site:

Am I the first one to mention this? I haven't heard anything about this before...

Man, I'd be pissed. And I already OWN all of these toys. It's the same die-cast shizz from the toy stores, right? :|

I bet you 20$ that they're having issues sourcing the toys for these now, since Target was the last place I know of that was carrying them, and spinmaster isn't making them JUST for Stern I'd bet.

I stumbled on a thread on RGP where another person has the same toy. I'm not pissed, I kinda like it. I'm on the hunt for another lightcycle or two in the same scale to further the theme

Not that i know of. All the retail die cast toys are one size only. Comparison pic would be cool. :)
