OMGWTFdidIdo(BBQ)

Just got confirmation that it shipped out today. Estimated delivery 9/19! Schweet, 2 days before my b-day :D

I would be interested, depending on how it works, what the terms are, etc.

If it's like a store card and it's something ludicrous like 29.99% financing...no way. End up paying 7000$ for a 4000$ pin, no thanks. :|

Holy FAQ....I just calc'ed it on best buy's site to my zipcode, it would be about 5400$ after taxes and shipping! ZOINKS!

Talk about sticker shock. Yeah. If you could get some way to finance it, and there's no tax to pay on 4700$....that would be a phenomenal price by comparison. o.o

Man I'm so jealous. I don't know how you guys can afford to spend 5k on a pinball machine. It boggles my mind. 500 is my limit on any game and I think that's pushing it. :-D.

You can't open it until your birthday.

You sound just like my wife

Honestly, I didn't think it would happen either. My wife talked me into it, but we made the agreement that I'm not buying any other games until it's paid off. It's only $136/month...

Yeah, but that's just the minimum payment right? Or is that what you have to pay to get rid of it before all that accrued interest dumps out onto it?

Congrats on buying that Tron pin! I am jealous, but happy for you. Hopefully I can play one at The York Show or PinExpo. I am getting antsy for both shows.

That is the payment to have it paid off in 3 years, just before the interest dumps on you.

Yeah. I can't find anything about the 36 month financing. Guess I should go into the store or assume that I don't qualify for it because I have a pre-existing card.

Probably doesn't matter because I doubt they're going to bump my credit limit up 4000$ to cover it. I have only requested increases from them twice in the 5 years I've had my card...should've been doing it every six months apparently.

Has it been delivered yet? It's a great game, I really like mine. Did they have any floor samples? I'm pretty close to the Park Meadows store, just might have to check.
We've used the Best Buy financing for TV's and appliances, I always take the 0% deals if they have them, even if I don't need it, just can't pass up a deal. The financing made me go with a couple of time, they matched a price and added the 0% deal.
It's great your wife convinced you to go for it. I've bought a couple I was on the fence on when my wife pushed me to go for it. Both times were near my birthday, she piped in and said call it a birthday gift. She liked it, I got what I wanted and she didn't need to shop, just throw a bit into the pin fund and call it done.

I would LOVE to buy a NIB pin, would be so frickin sweet and the best buy financing it makes it feel so easy...So tempting...But, as others have touched on, a $5K investment (which means gross pay of about $8K before its taxed to hell) today is worth anywhere between $30-60K in cash 30 years from now...Hard to get my head around the purchase...For now, I'm stuck buying pins under $1500 or so!! :-(

Eh, what a buzzkill I am.

Just jealous I guess!!! Sorry!!!

Dunno about you, but between 9/11, Bush, and Obama, my IRA and 401k were absolutely decimated, and continue to have negative growth.

Thankfully, I'm young, but not much hope there...

If you die tomorrow your money hasn't done anything for you... I say live it up! :)

Sitting in my garage waiting for them to show up. Every car that goes down my road gets my hopes up. Doesn't help that they are doing road constructing in my neighborhood, so I keep hearing diesel trucks...

The 36 month 0% is for appliances, but it is eligible for 18 month 0%. The store manager has the ability to extend that to 36 (at least, I didn't ask about any longer). My store manager was more than happy to do that since I was dropping almost $5k at his store.

They don't have floor demos in any store that I know of. The employees (store manager included) didn't even know that they could order them! They thought I was talking out my ass when I showed up.
