Very nice! Fingers crossed it hangs in there and you don't need to replace parts!! :)

Could you please explain to me exactly what Bar-B-Que has to do with "Of My God" and "What the Fuck"??? I have seen this here on the KLOV several times, and wanted to know why you are using this abbreviation?

Dude, I love your vids. Absolutely perfect reviews. Always entertaining and informative. Hell, everything you just said is exactly what I was trying to convey on the PP page of the book. Not a bad looking cab either John.

Yeah, Pole Position did really really well upon its entry into the arcade universe and was a huge hit. Atari really did some amazing things with that game that unless you play it often and rather seriously you might not notice in terms of gameplay and cutting down your time.

I just wish the game was longer but in some ways that makes me want to play it more because you know there's a ceiling in essence and part of the allure for me is trying to get to that magical 66k score barrier.

Great as always videos! A couple of questions:

How do you get the custom subscribe button in Youtube?

Is it both versions (Namco and Atari) of the Pole Position board that are prone to failure? You mention that the Atari one uses proprietary chips, does the Namco version?

I passed on a fully working Pole Position UR for $150 because my buddy so badly wanted one. Im still kicking myself for letting him get it, haha.

I am a YouTube "partner" so I can customize my YouTube Channel, etc.

I am not sure about the Namco PCBs and how that works. I know the Atari PCBs have Atari made chips. Not sure about the Japanese boards. Anyone know?

Can someone once and for all say how much money they get for being a "partner"? I had heard $.01/view. Is that right?

I applied to be a partner a while back but was denied. They did give me the ability to upload videos with unlimited duration (over 15 minutes).

Wow if it is that much then I should be more... ... enthusiastic in my videos. I can see why John is! :001_sbiggrin:

Turbo > Pole Position

Pole position was amazing when it was released, though, a huge breakthrough.

I've had a Pole Position before, but sold it. I think the later generation of driving games are better, and are a whole lot more fun to own in a home arcade. Twin or linked units are the way to go if you have the space. Daytona, Indy 500, Rush 2049....

Driving (and shooting games) are the only new arcade video games being made these days, with rare exception.
