OMGWTFBBQ! Sega Turbo

I loved that game when I was a kid! It's awesome to see it again in perfect shape. You are very lucky!

I've got one that needs some monitor work that I picked up working otherwise for $100. My favorite driving game.

Turbo was, and is, still great. Good video! And that's a nice machine.

Does anyone have a list or could list the differences between the normal UR and the mini? I'd like to grab a small one someday...

Watching that really inspires me, hopefully my Turbo will be up and running soon.

Great video, as always. Boy this really showed me how bad my monitor on mine is. In the tunnel you can not see the cars hardly at all.
Guess it is time to put a cap kit on it.... oh the fun... :)

Again great Turbo. I love it and the play is so different then my Pole Position.

Ha! I had Turbo for the Colecovision....

For the Colecovision, the steering wheel could just keep turning left or right forever. It was really more of a "spinner" that looked like a steering wheel. Was the arcade that way?

Also, the gas pedal on the Colectvision with just a button... put another way, when you pressed it half way in it would register as down. Was the arcade that way?

Never played the real arcade version.

what you going top do when the basement gets full?

you soo knowledgable, not just nice vid but, also lots of info also.
:)

i ave a tubo-mini. as cheap as it was i couldnt say no. its a really cool part of arcade history but game play wise i really dont enjoy it much. its really hard and like others said, your just whipping the wheel back and forth dodging things rather then actually feel like your driving a race car

I have a Turbo Cockpit.

It needs a cap kit and my PCB is acting up... but I have a spare. Need to finish my barcade and get that one going.

I too played Turbo on the ColecoVision and just picked up a Turbo Mini! The pedal on the arcade has a 4-position, pseudo-analog control. In the test mode, 0 is off, and goes up to 3. In the game, pressing the accelerator as hard as you can puts you very high up in the playfield. It's best to ease off of it during the turn, tunnel and ice areas. The steering wheel has no end of range and no force feedback.
