OMGWTFBBQ! - My The Empire Strikes Back Video Review!

I posted a quick video review of The Empire Strikes Back by Atari. This game was released in 1985 and my version of this game is the Clay Cowgill "ESB KIT".

Anyways, check it out here in glorious HD:

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE R in THA BASE MENT!

Nice review as always man. Although Star Wars is by far the superior game, I find myself playing Empire much more than I ever do the original (unless in a cockpit). Just seems to be a bit more of a ruleset, and the availabilty of the JEDI feature allows for some interesting scoring choices.
I'm this close (pinches fingers) to finally beating that damn record.

Gah, that asteroid field. What a horrible level. Now all I do when I play it is try and see how many AT-AT legs I can fly thru to rack up the score. Hrm, I wonder what level they could've done instead of the asteroid field. I remember installing that clay ESB kit on my Star Wars machine and seeing it fire up for the first time. Pure. Awesome.

Probably ANYTHING besides the asteroids fields, or even if you could shot them it would be more fun! Maybe have a few fighters hiding behind the asteroids that come out and attack you.

I have heard a few people say Empire Strikes Back was the better of the two games and was expecting people to say that I was nuts and the Empire is way better! Huh, I guess Star Wars really is the better of the two!

Great videos as always John. The game left me feeling like i wanted more from it back in the day. I guess i still feel that way about it.. Yeah, id say SW was the better of the two. Although the AT-AT level was my fav part in the game too.

Yeah if you could combine the best parts of Empires, like the AT-AT into the first Star Wars, then you would have something!

I find myself playing ESB more than SW. The asteroid level is sort of a crap shoot and where I pretty much lose all of my shields eventually, but it's still less frustrating than the trench run.

The trench run is actually pretty damn addicting. It's such a great challenge. Everytime I crash I feel like it's my fault which is a sign of good design if you ask me. If you feel the game cheated you it's bad, but if it's your fault it's great!

Neat to see it in action, no wonder I hadn't come across one in the wild before...
