OMGWTFBBQ! - My Black Knight 2000 Video Review - John's Arcade hits the road!

Great video as usual, but damn that game looks hard. It looks sort of lacking as far as play field interaction goes, but maybe it's a game you have to actually play to appreciate.

I watched an older video you did right after I watched the Black Knight 2000 one, it was for Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World pinball. How did you like that one? I saw that you sold it, was it for lack of fun?

It's one I think I'd really like to pick up so your input would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know about John, but as a long-term game to play, I think it's a stinker.

However, as a fairly rare and super-cute novelty with heavy Nintendo branding, it's perfect.

Mushroom World was not a great pinball machine. I did like it though. It was cute. So, yeah, you're right!

BK2K is my all time favorite pinball. Hands down. It's a love it or leave it title.

I've own or have owned quite a few A list pins, and BK2K is still number 1. It's quite difficult and has plenty of replay ability. Hell, have a TZ/MM/RS/TSPP/PB/ and more.. But this one still kicks my ass.. Riggy's BK2K (one in the vid) is by far the cleanest one I've had the pleasure to play.. I actually offered him a super clean Jonny Menomic as a trade for it Eventhough I own a BK2K, cause its that nice :) My JM looks almost new, and it's one we both wanted..

Actually hope he keeps his BK2K, as I want to play it more.. Heh.

Thank you both for the input! While it seemed like a good fit for my first pin, I think I will pass if it doesn't have longevity. The Nintendo charm along with the space saving aspect almost had me sold, but having a game that's not going to get old quick is much more important to me... I will continue the hunt!

Yeah, I couldn't recommend it for a small collection, and especially as a one-and-only pin. It's one of those machines that would be nice to have in a large pin collection, just to say to visitors "Heh, look at this neat little thing I have over here".

Now, if you're a Mark Discordia type o' chap, then I suppose you just HAVE to get it no matter what.

ROFL!!! That's awesome! And no, I'm not quite that hard core .

I plan on having only one or two pins max. I almost pulled the trigger on a deal for a 1989 Data East Batman a few weeks back, but couldn't find much positive feedback on it around the net. I'd rather be patient for the right machine than regret an impulse buy!

BK is better, but BK2 has a lot of tough play like other Richie games. Once you play it it grows on you. Much better than T2 or HSII Getaway. The music is very unique and the game is not a stinker but just hard and fast.

The game is brutal! I'm surprised to hear you say it's better than T2 or HS2. Those games to me seem much deeper but admittedly, I haven't played either much.

Own a T2 you will be amazed how repetative it is. T2 is a sweet looking game but the shots are the same over and over again. Getaway is good but High Speed and Black Knight are so much better. Hey it is just my opinion which I think I am allowed to have except on KLOV :) BK2 is a diamond in the rough and anything BK themed is kick ass in my books.
