Omega Race Upright needs rescuing!!

Bring it to CAX.

Put it in our room.

Problem solved, bump.

Um, did you read the thread Jawhn? :) The game is sold!

Whoops. Well your post before mine was mentioning another* thread with pictures, so I assumed you were still on the prowl for a clueless purchaser. ;)

* You sure do like to start threads.

It was very nice of you to have rescued it. Well done!

So apparently I confused people with my acquisition story on this. The game picked up in the photos is indeed the same one that was abandoned in the military location. I was being silly at first and talking as if it was a different one and then as if I had gone in and taken it without authorization. I thought I was obvious enough about it being a joke here:

Here's a few pics from the pickup day. Of course the initial reconnaissance trip was done under cover of darkness and included about 5 miles of hiking, camouflage clothing, dark face paint, bolt-cutters, infrared goggles and a small crack team of explorers led by yours truly. (Thanks guys!) Aside from a few issues like getting lost and having to dodge a couple of guards that were packing heavy artillery, things went well and the target was located and a plan for removal was hatched. I didn't take pictures during this first trip since it was so dark and I didn't have an attachment that would allow me to take good ones..

But then just to be sure I posted this so there would be no misunderstanding:

Yeah, I was just seeing if anyone was paying attention when I wrote that whole thing about the reconnaissance mission. I hope that it was "over the top" enough for people to recognize that but you never know.

I did tell the entire story on AHA but since not everyone wants to sign up over there i will just say unequivocally that I had authorization to get this. People who worked there helped me load it into my truck. And they were directed to do so from their superiors. I did my homework and found the right people to talk to. No money changed hands. It was just a nice thing for them to do. The game is now working and in happy hands.

End of story.
