Does anyone have a source for a replacement pot or an equivalent pot for the Omega Race Spinner? The number on it is f78ba103-b1.

I have a request in for an ORDS digital replacement, which I would prefer, but while I wait to for Mr. Boucher to see if he has anymore, I would at least like it to work like it did.

Anyone have a solution?

Thanks.

Use the force, man. Or at least search a little bit. You don't want those dumb old OR spinners. It'll just disappoint you like a jumpy paddle controller for a VCS. Go here: http://www.biltronix.com/ords.html Buy it. You will NOT be disappointed. (Nor will anyone else when they play your machine.)

I'm aware of biltronix. I have contacted him about a week ago. I would love the ORDS, but he says he's not sure he has anymore. I'm waiting on him to confirm. But if he doesn't have one I need a solution even if it's the old spinner set up.

Deleted my post. I'm a dummy. I didn't read your top post!

Well, the ORDS is apparently not available anymore or not available to me. I never received any follow up email on inventory, which I know I was 10 years too late, but I had to try since it is still listed on his page.

But I still needed a solution, so I couldn't find the exact pot replacement. (F78BA103-B1) I did find a F78BA103 without the B1. The only difference is the diameter of the shaft. It's about half the size of the old one and it wasn't cheap. ($100)

But I didn't watch years of MacGyver as a kid for it not to have an effect on how I think of a solution.

So I got a poly tube adapter used for water lines and some 1/4 inch OD vinyl tubing.

I carefully glued the adapter to the shaft of the pot and cut a piece of the vinyl tubing to fit inside the spinner housing to make up the extra space.

I put it all back together and it works like it did before.

Is it what I wanted to do? No.

Does it work better than the original set up? No.

But I needed a solution that at least made it work the way it did and until the ORDS is available again, if ever, it is a fix.
